In reply to: Request; A two-column text widgetBumping. OK, what code can I slap into a text widget to create two columns. Anybody?
Good luck getting an answer to this. You are not the first person to request help for this problem, only to get silence here. You would think a problem so common that they don;’t bother answering anymore would merit an addition to the codex.

In reply to: Text ad plug in auto update errorI’m going to pump this one up to the top. I discovered Wp Text Ads and i am trying to update install the free version on WP 2.8.
It seems to not be working well. The plugin is supposed to automatically create a database table, but gives me an error has occurred message. I’m not getting any feedback from a message i send the owner on his contact page.
Is reading this using WP-Text Ads? Know of a good alternative?
Your help is appreciated.

In reply to: Akismet’s false positives are ruining my lifeBumping this up. Should I use Hashcash? Or Bad Behavior. The intent is to replace Akismet, which send too many good comments to the spam filter. What I would like is a way to tell Akismet that comments from specific email addresses must always be allowed through.

In reply to: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()This problem wwas resolved by deactivating a redirect. I was redirecting “peoriapundit.com” to my site’s address “peoriapundit.com/blogpeoria.” It was caught in a loop. Once I cancelled that redirect, all was well and it proceeded amoothly.

In reply to: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()I did upload ALL the files. The good news is I tried ity again, and now all that’s happening is that when I go to the login page, the page times out. When I check the error log in cPanel it’s giving me a blank field.

In reply to: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()I am getting the same “Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()” error when I try to open any page. I do NOT have any active plugins. I have reinstalled the files twice. I do not have google sitemaps.
Someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this …

In reply to: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request()?Once again, we are playing “find the answer” … there are several threads for folks who have this problem, myself includes. I’ve tried the solutions (all plugins already disabled) and I’ve uploaded the files a second time.
Same problem.
Anyone have a solution OTHER than to do a search for the colution?
