I get exact same error. WP is only trying to allocate 3.9MB which is pretty small so it seems to be more than the standard memory issue. I am with 1and1 and worked with a good tech that tweeked allocation way above this level. I think something else may be up.

Let me try from the beginning as I know I was not so clear – it was late. First, let me clarify what I am seeking. I would like a caption at the bottom of my singlepic or thumbnail with a caption within the post dislpay. When I click and image expands ( I use highslide) it would be great if there was the same caption there but it is within the post that I most want the caption.

With the the version prior to 1.01, I would bring the thumbnail into the post through the add an image dialogue, selecting from the Nextgen gallery as a thumbnail. Then I would go back an modify the image by clicking on image and then clicking again on the edit image icon. In that dialogue I would add a caption and then I would have a captionized (within the post) Nextgen thumbnail.

In 1.01, the text I enter in the edit picture dialogue is no longer saved and does not end up in the post source at all. I have verified I can captionize a non-NextGen thumbnail from the standard media library.

I know you have toms of options in NextGen so perhaps there is a more intelligent way to achieve my goal with either singlepic or thumbnails.

    Thanks for the great plugin.
