Thank you for your reply.
The WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > General > Pages >Logout Page has a value of “Logout”
In trying to resolve this issue I went to my hosting site’s Linux terminal and did a “grep -i” on “logout” but did not find this. Do you have any idea why?

I think I have done everything right. I checked again and do not see anything.
I have attached a copy of the page I am talking about.
If you would like to see it yourself, I created an account for you to log in. I don’t see it now but I will look for a way to send you a private message so I can send you the login credentials. If you can send me a private link that would be great.
If you want to see it using this login:
Go to billswebsite.online
Click on Login
You are now at the login page
Login using the credentials I sent you
You are now at the Welcome page
Click on MyAccount
You are now at the My Account page
Click on Login and you will see the page in question with the logout link. If you click on this it will log you in

Thank you for reaching out. Yes I am still having a problem. I installed some plugins on my site to try to find and edit the hook but, for some reason, I could not find the function controlling this.

Below is the Dropbox link to view a video of the problem.

The site requires login with a password. I do not know how to send a private message to you with the admin id and password. If you need this, please remind me how to do this.

I went to the database and added a new user with Admin.

I used this new user to straighten out everything. I am now in good shape.

Yes. I tried but it won’t let me. I need to disable UM to log in. I have also deactivated UM in plugins. Now when I try to add a user, it brings up the UM add user screen and makes me login with UM to add the user, which of course, I can’t do because it tells me that the user is rejected. I don’t know why it is doing this when I have disabled and deactivated UM. It doesn’t make sense to me.

I did go to the database and changed the UM status from “rejected” to “approved”. I couldn’t find docs on the valid values of this status but since it was “rejected”, I changed it to approved. This did not change anything. I am trying to research more but I cannot find a UM Data Dictionary in the UM Developer section

The site is now sending emails. I just have a few more things to fix and I am all set.

Thank you for your response about wp smpt. I could not get it to work. When I send test email from this plugin, I do not receive any email.
When I send an email directly from the website email, it works ok.
So, I need to try to figure out why this is so.
The thing that is most frustrating is that it was working fine and now this is the only thing stopping me from officially launching my site.
I need to try to figure this out.
In the meantime, I would appreciate hearing any thoughts you may have.

Thank you for helping me with this isssue.
I installed the Check Email plugin and sent a test message. I did not receive the email from the Check Email plugin.

I will be going to my host and check the email from there. I will let you know anything I find. In the meantime, I would appreciate hearing any thoughts you may have.

ok. I unloc.ked the page.
I was wrong before. This is not the only page that is showing the shortcodes. Several other pages are showing the shortcodes including the Blog page

Thank you for getting back to me on this.
Actually, I did something else and now this only happens when I am already signed in. It stil says “logoff” but when I click on it, it brings up the login form and you need to login.
I made a video of this but there is no upload link.
I would still like to change this to either say loogin or log you off when you click logoff. Is this something you can help me with?
