    Thank you James,
I asked there a few days ago and got no answer so I came here.

@bouquet70-if you don’t know your password use Andrew’s fix.

If you are getting an error 404 you need to login to your ftp server and and change the plugin folder name to plugindeactivate.

    1. open internet explorer (not firefox or chrome).
    2. https://ftp.mysite.com (put your website there)
    3. use your credentials to enter
    4. click on view on your menu bar (if no menu bar right click on ie at the top and click on menu bar)
    5. under view click on “open FTP site in File Explorer
    6. Open wp-content
    7. change the plugin folder’s name plugindeactivate.

This will deactivate all the plugins likely one of your plugins caused an error. Usually the last one you were messing with. This will allow back into your admin panel. You will not have any plugins available. Don’t freak out just go back to the file explorer and change your folder name back to plugin. Go somewhere else in your control panel and back to the plugins they will all be there but they will be deactivated. Open another window to your site. Activate one plugin at a time refreshing the site each time to see if the plugin you activated killed your site. once you find the bad plugin uninstall it and reinstall it again. If that doesn’t work it probably isn’t compatible with your theme.

@denvermike-To login to the panel go to the site below. Just add your website. Your admin panel is there.

Did you ever build a wordpress website? Just find the right theme you want for your book. It would look good. The theme is the important part. Look through the themes. Put in keywords like novel.

I had the same problem on one of my sites. I had to upgrade themewaves plugin.
