Denis, I wonder if your plugin actually captures this request. The FRU lists pages, posts or both (per user config) that have recently changed while Courtney is looking to make a list explaining a given change.

The idea that occurs to me, as I’m typing, is to have a separate category called Site Updates (or your choice) and exclude the category from the front page. No need for a plugin this way, less code generally being better.

There are one or two plugins to help automate this, though I can’t recall the names offhand. I would like to point out, in a positive way, that AdSense terms of service limit their use to no more than three blocks on a page.

I have no special settings on .htaccess and do have mod_rewrite in place. Yet when I make the permalink option /%post_id%/, or /%post_id%, I get a 404 on clicking any permalink.

Look at del.icio.us/webdesign or similar tags, they’ve had lots of good color matching web pages tagged lately. I am personally so bad with colors it hurts.

Sorry, been awhile since I dealt with the same issue. I used the
Competitive Ad Filter to block the most commly recurring URLs (which were for blog or RSS sites) and since then I don’t get the problem.

AdSense configuration has options to have the system ignore certain words, might be useful for you to investigate.

The images used are specified in the CSS file–Firefox with Web Developer extension comes in real handy for answering these questions. The second class name (corruptestablishment) matches one of the site’s categories and is a good example of how multiple classes can be applied to a single block level element, especially for noobs like me.

I’m sure the purple is part of the easily configurable aspects but I don’t think the way the background color shows up inside the content space works well. The boxes with the content just seem to get mired in the purple. Thanks for contributing to the community, cregy!

Podz, I find this little back and forth with shimo amusing since this forum’s design automatically gives users a link back to their page if one is specified in the profile. Amusing is possibly not quite the right word and I’m not saying this to rebuke you, only to point out that shimo still has two links to his page on this thread (if the one you edited out was to the same).

How does the quantity of readers change the time required to manage the content, using excerpts, passwords or otherwise? In any case, yes, WP does excerpts and you should read up in Codex about the functionality, the information you need is there.

I guess it matters to people who take the time to post the question or come to this forum looking for the answer. The last time this problem happened (early June IIRC) it was not just a feed being unavailable but something on the server side that took a day or so to correct.

Maybe it’s my installation of Firefox but I get an article not found error when clicking Theron’s link and trying to see it from the Themes page doesn’t work for me either.

Cool. Structurally the theme seems good, all elements are delineated and obvious; the blue colors for links are a bit too similar for me when distinguishing visited or not. Also, the column toggle is interesting but I probably would have used a different UI as showing three words twice in such a significant position isn’t very elegant; perhaps just minus signs at the top inside corner of the column box with a tooltip help when the column is visible and a similar plus sign at the top outside corner of the title box when it isn’t shown.

Sorry, I thought they were the same until reading your response. No offense but I’m not going to download and install a theme just to review it. The general practice is to provide a demo site where it can be seen, which I didn’t notice on your blog entry. I do like the design of your site and am curious to know the font name.
