In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?Many thanks for getting in touch! :o))))
I totally agree with you that the templates shouldn′t contain any content. Polylang is a great plugin, but I decided to work with two back ends at last, due to complexity of the site.
I think you can close this thread now.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?Yes, you′re right. I already copied the page template for the english site. But the front page doesn′t seem to be affected by language switch as I don′t know how and where to integrate it.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?No, I′m definitedly not! I don′t know anything about php.
I have translated all pages and the main menus by using polylang so far. But I have no clue how to make the start page switch to an english version. The main content takes place in the page-start.php file. I have the same problem with the footer.php file

Many thanks in advice

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?In which file do I have to add the code exactly?
When it comes to manage and translate the site, I have to carry out the work all by myself.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?Yes, you′re right. The entire content of the startscreen takes place in a single file: the page_start.php.
Deadline will be during next week. ??

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang 1.1.6 – how to switch page_start.php?The code is in the page_start.php file, which does not appear in the pages editor. In the editor is just an empty form field. (Oh, and I didn`t create the homepage, but I have to translate it, now.)

In reply to: "Next Page, Not Next Post" doesn′t correspond to "Polylang"Well, I couldn′t choose the parent page in the menu on the right side of the translated page. Maybe I did something wrong when I added the second language page. But now it works fine! ??
Thanks anyway!

In reply to: "Next Page, Not Next Post" doesn′t correspond to "Polylang"Oh, I didn′t consider that I work with a duplicated site for testing. Maybe I have to check the links, first…
