I am working on localhost.
I tried a new installation.
Inside that I have two folders.
The wp installation site1 folder.
The common_files folder.

1. https://localhost/example/site1
2. https://localhost/example/common_files

On settings –> media there is no way to change the path without any plugin for that, see here

Moreover, when trying to upload a media file, the path remains inside the wp foldersee here

Unfortunately that didn’t work. It only changes the path inside wp installations.
