Hi – I think what you are doing is fine. The plugin uses the wordpress.com functionality so the requirement is theirs. My understanding is you can’t sell this feature/ functionality as a service, but using it to display screenshots on a small business site should be fine imo.

Hi = I’m afraid this isn’t possible. The plugin will only generate screenshots from embedded images. Because the plugin uses a third party api there’s no way to tell if/ when the image is generated and when it’s updated.

Hi there – thanks a lot for the report. The strict in_array check is a WP coding standards thing. I must have missed the error when making the change to the in_array code to make it follow standards.

I have added some code that makes sure the array of categories is filled with ints rather than strings. This seems to solve the issue.

Hi – this plugin uses JavaScript and browser hints. So it will work perfectly with page caching plugins.

Hi – thanks for the message. Unfortunately the options are very limited. Because the app is using a third party api run by wordpress.com the plugin is limited by the features that service provides. As such the dimensions of the image, and the area that is screenshotted, can not be changed.

Hi – that sounds like an error with a different plugin that is then causing my plugin to not work. Translate Words does not use the wordpress.com api (or any third party thing).

Can you find out what plugin that is so I can take a look please? You would need to disable the plugins one by one and test the translate words page until it works. Once you know you can re-enable them again.

Hi Nancy – sorry to hear you’ve had problems with the plugin.

My guess is it’s something with Elementor – but that’s not a guarantee. The only reason I say this is Elementor is a lot more complex than Browser shots so there’s a lot more that could go wrong.

Could you explain what you mean by “no longer edit”? What exactly happens when you try to edit the page?

Have you updated anything recently? Plugins/ themes?

Do you know how to check the browser console? Would be useful to know if there’s any JavaScript errors.

Unfortunately I have no experience/ knowledge of Elementor so I may not be able to help with this.

Hi there – sorry to hear this. It’s not a problem I have seen before.

I imagine there is a conflict with a plugin/ theme.

Are you able to check the browser console to see if there’s any JavaScript errors?

Also disabling all plugins apart from Front PAge Categories and seeing if the problem persists would be helpful. If that fixes it then re-enabling the pligins one by one will help us find what is causing the issue.

Hi – this will only work with websites that use the normal loop on the homepage. It’s not designed to work with page builders like Divi.
