Thanks Marcel. Sent to you privately with additional info. Note that today when I checked the sort order in your plugin was listed correctly even when I left and came back to the page. This is new and good. However the order on the front end is still alphabetical when it should be manual. Appreciate the help!

I just solved this, it seems, but deleting the $args code entirely and just using a standard loop. Post are now showing as they should, I guess bc WordPress is seeing the template it wants for products and using that. Apparently it never needed to be told to use the custom post type ‘products’ in the first place, which is what my $args were telling it to use. If anyone has input here as to why this code isn’t needed after all I’d be grateful.

Thanks Bob. This is intended to be a single post, so I’ve edited single.php and content-single.php to be single-product.php and content-single-product.php. The goal here is to display a single post per page, and not to display the most recent post. It sounds like if I use ORDER BY it won’t address that problem. As I say, the url changes appropriately as I click links to the posts, but the actual post displayed is the same over and over on these pages – the most recent. Maybe I’m wrong here – please advise.

I’d like to do the same thing that curiouslt wrote about, and share the concern about future overwrites. Is there a hook we can use to get this done via functions.php so it’s preserved?

I have the same question. Can we adjust/edit the HTML output, and/or can we make a child of this plugin for that effect? I just want to do a couple simple tweaks. So far great plugin.

Finally got z-index to work. All set.

My experience on this issue is that the custom CSS in the plugin’s settings page don’t apply to the link itself and so don’t have any effect. It would be helpful to update the settings in this regard so custom CSS takes effect, possibly with a bit more specifics on what classes are involved. Also that text field is very small for CSS. A larger input area would be better.

No, this is still an open issue. Sadly the developer has not responded to this request, though as noted I’m happy to pay/donate for the help.
