In reply to: [SideMenu] widget placement in sidemenuhello Oliver,
works after update, thank you very much. the only thing is, I still (or again, not in v1.3.3) have to indent the sub-menu with .sidemenu .sub-menu {padding-left:1.2rem}.
have a good weekend /malikForum: Plugins
In reply to: [SideMenu] widget placement in sidemenuhello Oliver,
we have a 1st presentation of the site on monday, so I reverted to sidemenu 1.3.3 (the only version I ever downloaded. after that I just updated) and everything works again like before.
maybe this can be sorted out later. BTW, I am working on PC.

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] caption overlayhello Oliver,
thanks for your efforts.
ok, it’s not going to make me sob. would it be possible though to have an invisible clickable layer over the image, lets say in a comfortable size placed in the middle of a 2000x1200px img? no matter if only on the frontpage or both, the page that contains the featured image?
have a good weekend /malikp.s. in the meantime i’ll be checking Cover Block

In reply to: [SideMenu] widget placement in sidemenuthanks much Oliver,
the position of the 1st sub nav item is good now (i re-positioned it with css in the meantime, took it out now)
i also took out the css you gave me concerning hiding the scroll bars. now i dont have scrollbars at all any more but, when choosing ‘hide scrollbar’ a rather funny effect on the opener icon appears (see screenshot.
if i unclick ‘hide scrollbar’ it goes away. i can live with that for now. BUT: i cannot scroll the menu at all any more, no matter if ‘prevent scroll close’ is on or off.
any idea?
best, /malikForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] caption overlaystopp the press… you are totally right! a custom link is needed because the panels’ content doesn’t necessarily (or probably rarely) connect with the chosen featured img (on the front page). so, thanks for checking!

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] caption overlaythanks Oliver,
I think the link should go to what the featured image is featuring, the page or post where it comes from. That’s good for us. don’t know if for other developers working with the plugin, if you consider to make changes, it could also be useful to have the possibility to customize the link address (in the moment I wouldn’t know why though).

In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] caption overlayhello Oliver,
pls take a look at the screenshots. the frontpage consists of 6 panels (each having a featured image). that’s where the caption overlay doesn’t show.
when going to a single page (e.g. ‘contact’) it does show.
the idea now is to have the captions on each featured image of the frontpage (and having them clickable would be outstanding).
thanks in advance /mForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Options for Twenty Seventeen] caption overlayhi Oliver,
exactly. but I’m not using a slider, just the featured image.
I am preparing a presentation for a client, I’m not the programmer (as you will know in the meantime ;), so I’m mostly on and about the frontpage. by chance I found the overlay on a featured image of a normal page. but, as you are asking, they are not shown on the frontpage.
is there a chance to get them to show up there, too, without using a slider?
one more question: is it possible to give the caption on the images a link function?
thanks, and have a good week /mForum: Plugins
In reply to: [SideMenu] widget placement in sidemenuHello again.
Oliver pls be so kind and take a look at the screenshot. after the update the 1st item of the submenue subs moved in and the margin between main category and sub changed as well (they had the same distance before).
thanks in advance /mForum: Plugins
