All you need to do is go to:

Appearance -> Editor -> Stylesheet (style.css) -> locate body { and just 2 lines below it you’ll see: background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;

All you need to do is change #FFFFFF to the gray of the link you mentioned which is: #ECECEC.

Save, reload and you’re done.

Do you have one API or more? And did you make a blog at WordPress.com? Not quite sure if that got anything to do with it, but worked for me! ??

Do you try to view the Site Stats through the link which is place under Jetpack?
This is strange chilmen as it still works for me…. Even after cleaning my cache etc…

Good news as I got it working!!

It SEEMS that you need to create a blog at wordpress.com first. Even if you have your own self host WordPress blog.

Now once you’ve created the blog, go to your Global Dashboard on WordPress.com -> Site Stats.
You’ll see the stats and you’ll see My Blog (Dashboard) [DROPDOWN] + Switch button.
Now all you need to do is choose your selfhosted WordPress blog from that dropdown menu and click on the Switch button.
[EDIT: Make sure that Jetpack is connected to WordPress.com]

As soon as you’ve done this, you can view the stats again through your OWN dashboard!

This did the trick for me, so perhaps it might help you as well!

I have the same problem as everyone and have already tried a couple of tricks above. Some worked for a couple of minutes and some didn’t however the problem still remains! ??

I’m experiencing the same problem. I’ve already tried to deactivate, delete and re-activate the plugin but without any luck as there’s no way to uncheck this box! ??

Great! Upgrading to th new version did do the trick and now my Archive page is working again!!

Thanks for your reply.
I just checked with my hosting company and the php limit is set on 41mb. This used to be 32mb so that would be sufficient.

My hosting company also advised me to put the following code in my htaccess file: php_value memory_limit 41M.

However this doesn’t help me….. The only thing changed is that I don’t get any fatal errors anymore…..

Do you have any more suggestions?

And it suddenly work exactly how I wanted it to!
With this query the first page lists 8 posts (excluding the first one. All other pages will use the “default” setting as configured under: Settings -> Reading.
