No problem
I’m sorry to hear this. As I’ve stated in many places no plugin can protect from everything. There are simply too many vectors. If ya’ll do figure out how they got in I would be curious to know so that I might be able to add protection for this vulnerability to help future users.
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
Can you all please check your .htaccess and verify that these IPs are making it there?
Hi Dom,
From you list here is what I would suspect:
Admin Menu Tree Page View
Akismet
Bad Behavior
Broken Link Checker
CMS Tree Page View
Highslide for WordPress *reloaded*
HTML Javascript Adder
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Login Logo
PHPlist
PixoPoint Theme Integrator
Theme Authenticity Checker (TAC)
ThreeWP Activity Monitor
TimThumb Vulnerability ScannerOf course this is only a guess as I’ve never used many of these myself however the functions their titles suggest have caused issues in the past.
Disable and re-enable the hide backend feature. That should fix it.
Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up. Feedburner deleted my feed after combining accounts. This should now be working fine.
You can change them manually and then re-save one of the .htaccess features (enable and re-enable the list for example).
Can you email me at info [at] bit51 [dot] com? I would like to get some more information on your case.
the 353 error was due to feedburner deleting the feed for the site when I combined acccounts. It should be working fine now. As for the other, as soon as I get past “back to school” (I work for a university) I will be looking at it.
That’s one I haven’t heard before. I’ll install hypercache on a test box [hopefully] this weekend and see what I can find.
@yguez. Thanks. I understand with that feature. Have you tried turning off only the emails for it?
Thanks. I’ll be taking a heavy look at this soon.
