The upload process is handled natively by wordpress, FII does not change it at all; and normally wordpress will rename files of the same name (append number) to avoid overwrite, so I have no idea how this happens to you.

Can you confim this (clean install with only 2 plugins)?

If so we will add it to the conflict plugin list and investigate further. But so far I don’t see why a SEO plugin wants to modify backend editor workflow…

Hopefully by now you notice the custom post type setting in FII setting page? Or is there anything I am missing?

Please check the FAQ guys; how NextGen Gallery works internally conflicts with our plugin, so there is no easy resolution for that.

Can you confirm this is still the case (by trying it on a clean wordpress install, with only these 2 plugins), because this is a plugin conflict that we don’t know of.

also, carousel plugin really shouldn’t affect how backend editor works, unless it deals with wordpress gallery shortcode (which our plugin don’t use, by the way)

do press “apply changes” after setting the “image sizes”.

Note that “image size” is cached by wordpress so it only remember your last choice. If you insert image in thumbnail size, then on refresh all images’ default will be set to “thumbnail”.

Cannot reproduce in my environment on wp3.4 or 3.5, able to insert over 100 images (albeit takes a while to fully process on client side)

this is more likely due to your server settings, though I currently don’t see how this plugin would return 404.

please check the FAQ for known conflicting plugins, if possible, disable all plugins and tried it again.

care to test it on a clean wordpress install? I don’t see any problem on my 3.5 test site just yet, so it could be due to one of your plugins.

I am not able to duplicate the issue you described locally or remotely, Could you try a clean install locally or on test server to duplicate the issue without other plugins?

Once again, if you are in default gallery tab provided by wordpress upload manager, after step 3 the metabox where FII resides should reload itself (while the image being inserted into editor view).

recent 2.3.0+ updates should be compatible with wp 3.4+ install, tested both locally and remotely. do note that some of the features may not be available due to known plugin conflict, read more on this:
