Just fresh installed plugin. Same problem here. Can’t save video because of thumbnail issue.

Yes, changing the link format to querystring works, but it generates an ugly URL.

Changing the slug to anything else does not take care of the 404. In fact, there is no other page named “gallery” on my site, so it’s not a conflict that I generated. The 404 issue came out of the blue after upgrading WP.

Nivo Slider isn’t working. Doesn’t show any images.

That’s exactly what I described in my post. All vertical images are either cropped or distorted. Unless I’m totally missing something in the option settings (I tried them all).

This really isn’t about PNG, or transparent backgrounds. I don’t need either, I suggested this option only as a potential workaround.

What I would like, though, is the plugin to size vertical images properly, in particular when I set the resizeheight to a fixed value. The plugin seems to ignore that value (or the height/width ratio), as all vertical images are distorted or cropped to fit the horizontal format. Does not look good, obviously.

Border support would be awesome.

Another cool feature would be a “loading” icon for the time when the plugin loads the images. Right now, it just shows an empty space for a few seconds. See here for some options: https://ajaxload.info/

Everything is fine until the gallery shows a vertical/portrait image. I would like the black areas left and right of the image to be transparent, while the left/right arrows should stay exactly where they are, so that a user would not need to move the mouse pointer.

By the way, it would be cool to be able to auto-generate a border around the images. Like “border: 2px solid white” or something…

Same problem here. Some people claim to have the solution by going through the Media Manager, and yes, I can select an image from NG, but it only shows on the post’s panel. Click on the image again, and Media Manager shows an empty gray box. And as you say, the image shows nowhere else either. Not good.

Picking a “featured image” form the Nextgen gallery does not work in 3.5 with ElegantThemes. It hasn’t worked for over a year.

I”m having the exact same problem. I also found similar posts (related to GraphPaperPress), but since I’m also using ElegantThemes, those won’t help.

I’d second that option. In particular when you want to show a portfolio, it should start with the first (or any random) image, rather than the overview of the gallery.

Oh, and on the “fullscreen” topic: It would be awesome if the plugin would really run “fullscreen”. Somehow the images are not scaling to the edge of the screen.

Great plugin, though. Took me a while to figure it out (thought I had to get Galleria to run first) but now it works like a charm.
