Hey @aloeroot – thanks for sharing the staging site address. I don’t see your production site on our side but can see staging site and I also see subscribers and traffic stats attached to staging site. Since staging site is new, there shouldn’t be subscribers and stats here. With this all, I think the data of your production site has been already transferred to staging site. But we can revert this change so there is nothing to worry about.
As a next step, on the production site, if it is still showing the safe mode notice, could you please select the “Create a fresh connection” option and connect the production site to Jetpack and then let us know. We will then transfer the data from staging site to production site from our side.

Hey, @jonatanharringq – we generally answer in the order we receive the support request. It appears the last restore for the site has failed because you canceled the plan. It looks like you canceled the plan to stop the restore? Could you please clarify if you still want to restore the site or if the goal was to stop the restoration that you started by mistake?

Hey @aloeroot – If you don’t need Jetpack on staging site right now then I’d recommend to delete Jetpack plugin from the staging site. If you have Jetpack connected to staging site then first disconnect the Jetpack plugin and then delete it from the staging site. And then disconnect and reconnect Jetpack plugin on production site.
In order to prevent this issue in future, if you are cloning the site from Production to Staging, then first, please deactivate the Jetpack plugin from the Production site ? and then clone the site to Staging ? then reconnect Jetpack at both Production and Staging site.
Similarly, if you are deploying the site from Staging to Production, then first, deactivate the Jetpack plugin both at Staging and Production site ? then deploy the Staging site to Production ? and then connect the Jetpack to the Production site.
Our biggest concern is avoiding data loss, specifically the list of several hundred subscribers.
You mean the site subscribers that are on Jetpack. Right? If so, if those subscribers get lost for any reason, we can try to find it, and then assign them to correct site. But yes it is good to avoid this situation to avoid more delay. ??
On a separate note, the Jetpack account is keyed to my email address, but when I sign into WordPress.com I don’t see this site, either the dev or live versions, in my list of websites (a couple dozen other client sites are showing, though). Any suggestions there?
I also don’t see this site in our database. In your account do you see the staging site or can you share us the staging site address?

I see you mentioned “Social link for FB is limited to group type” – could you please clarify which social link you are referring to?
You also mentioned “So why JetPack does not to change the link limit” – could you please clarify this as well which link limit you are referring to?

Hey @hcmendez – To clarify, when you enable Jetpack’s Image CDN, your images are optimized and served from our servers to improve your site’s performance. However, we do not replace or overwrite the original image files on your site. The images remain stored in your Media Library with their original URLs.
The URLs you’re seeing (e.g.,
https://i0.wp.com/...
) are the CDN-hosted versions that Jetpack serves to site visitors for faster loading. If you disable Jetpack’s Image CDN, your site should revert to using the original image URLs hosted on your server automatically. Images should not disappear because we don’t remove or replace your original image files.I visited your site and I see the images are loading on the site on the website URL. Could you please confirm if the issue is still there?
If your images are still missing after disabling the Image CDN, it may indicate an issue unrelated to Jetpack (e.g., a caching issue probably).
Could you please ensure that your Media Library is intact and images in Media Library are loading? Also, if you have any cache plugins installed, please clear the site cache to see if that helps in resolving the issue.

I saw the request you opened on GitHub, and it appears the team is considering it. While I can’t guarantee that it will be implemented in the next release, there’s a good chance you’ll see this improvement in one of the future releases of the Jetpack plugin.

Hey @lamboman666 – I checked you site address but I see it is not working in my browser. May I know when you said “I canot find the email associated with that account” – do you mean WordPress.com / Jetpack account, your web hosting account, or the account where you have purchased the website domain?
Please provide us the details, it will help us to guide you in the correct direction!
