Thanks for the compliment, but its nota function I created.

Here is what I did:

1. On the default profile form, I added a custom drop down field called “AREA OF OPERATIONS” with options added for the areas of operation members could choose from, when updating their profiles.

2. On the Directory settings of that particular directory, in the Search Options section, I have these settings:

Enable Search feature: Yes

Choose field(s) to enable in search: Area of Operations

When I installed the newest version of Woo Commerce, Version 3.05 – the issue was no longer there. My drop down options lists are working perfectly.

Not sure if this will help, but this is what I use to create, view and export custom fields:

Create them using this tutorial:

To view them, I just installed an export/import plugin and when I go to its export page to choose what to export, it lists all the fields, and I just check the fields I want to export.

Here is the export plugin I am using:

But there are quite a few plugins you can try for that.

I found a work around so I am going to mark this one resolved.

I redid the conflict test, no difference. Actually the menu totally disappeared in the twenty fifteen theme with UM plugin installed.

I had two menus, a main horizontal menu for logged out members and a secondary horizontal menu for loggin in members. I noticed that It was the second menu that was not recording the changes as described above.

I deleted all the menu links on the second menu, and then deleted the second menu entirely.

I added the links I had had on the second menu onto the main horizontal menu instead, and used UM permissions to control viewing permissions.

It now works perfectly.

Maybe this will help someone with the same issues.
