In reply to: Admin blank pages againI found a solution. I set up a second blog but named it differently. It was working fine. So using Transmit, I opened the server window for wpadmin on the older blog and then uploaded the new wpadmin from the new blog. It cleared it out.
My next step is to try to export from older blog posts and import into newer blog. I suspect the older blog is just too ancient at this point.
Thanks Janet4now for the post. Appreciated.

In reply to: Admin blank pages againI am using the default of 2012.
blog/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/style.css?ver=3.7.4′I also went into database and exported sql files. I did a fresh install of WP and with a new database and attempted to import my 500 or so posts but the fields aren’t matching up. The first blog is very very old, so I assume database design has changed over the years.

In reply to: Notify multiple email addresses of comments/pings?I also need to set this up. On some older blogs, I was able to enter two emails separated by a comma and those worked.

In reply to: blank white page at install stepFollow-up: it wasn’t a server issue, it was my choice of software. In the past few years, I’ve used GoLive and recently switched to DW. My first upload was with DW. My second test was with Transmit. But underlying was that I had renamed wordpress folder to ‘blog’ in DW and it didn’t behave as expected. I had always done that before in GL. … no problem. So, change folder name BEFORE moving to DW… and as a safety precaution, I’ll use Transmit to upload. Solution courtesy of hosting guru.
