In reply to: [Redirect to Homepage] Help – this plugin disabled my login abilityNo, that’s no my plugin. It’s by Md. Liton Arefin. Mine can be downloaded from this url: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/redirect2homepage Feel free to try my plugin to see if this solves your problem. I hope this helps.
ps: I agree that the plugin names are very much alike & I’ll try to contact the other developer to ask if he plans to maintain his plugin. Otherwise his could be removed from the plugin repository solving this confusing situation.

In reply to: [Tag Pages] Tags not getting savedNot sure I understand you correctly: is the tag is gone, or the page?
In order to help you solve this problem I need some more info: which version of WordPress are you running?
Btw it usually helps to temporarily disable all plugin & use the default WordPress’ Twentyten, TwentyEleven or TwentyTwelve theme to see if this problem is not caused by another plugin or custom theme.

In reply to: [Redirect to Homepage] How to set to not redirect admins or authors ?Sorry for the late reply. Somehow I did not receive a notification of your question on the forum.
I’m sorry but this plugin is by design without any settings and as simple as possible. If you need more advance redirection or the ability to change the redirection based on an user’s role I’d suggest to try one of the other redirection plugins. A quick search implies that this plugin might provide a solution:

NB: I haven’t tested this plugin myself.

Are you sure you are using my plugin? The error message states a directory named ‘redirect-to-homepage’ and has an index.php in it. My plugin is called ‘redirect2homepage’ and has no index.php in it’s directory.

In reply to: [Tag Pages] Tags are not displayedHi Iwona,
Tag-pages does nothing with displaying tags. It merely allows you to tag your pages. It is up to your theme to display the tags. You can check if it works by using the default WordPress theme with the tagcloud widget. Select a tag from the tagcloud which you’ve added to a page and it should show this page in the tags overview.
If you need more detailed instructions, just let me know which version of WordPress you are using and I can describe it in more detail.

In reply to: How to add tags in pagesHave a look at my plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/tag-pages/ It’s a very small simple plugin for adding tags to pages. If you have any questions, feel free to use the forum and I’ll try to help you out.

In reply to: [Tag Pages] Show tags in meta in head?No response after 2 weeks so I’m marking this topic solved.

In reply to: [Tag Pages] Show tags in meta in head? Thanks for your explanation. Now I understand. This plugin will do nothing with regards to the output in your theme on the frontend. It merely provides an interface for you to add tags to pages in the wp-admin akin to adding tags to posts. That’s it.
If you would like to add tags in the head of your site it’s up to you to add this in your theme.
Does this answer your question?

In reply to: [Tag Pages] Show tags in meta in head?Could you please explain why tags should be placed in the meta head? I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean.

In reply to: how to remove an action via functions.php in a child theme? What version of WordPress are you using?
If I am not mistaken the parent theme should use the following construction to make it easy for child themes to override the parent’s load_fonts function:
if( ! function_exists('load_fonts') { function load_fonts() { wp_register_style('googleFonts', 'https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=PT+Sans:400,700,400italic|Oswald'); wp_enqueue_style( 'googleFonts'); } add_action('wp_print_styles', 'load_fonts'); }
By checking for the existence of the load_fonts function and only defining this function if none is found a parent theme can be prevented from loading it’s own version of the function while allowing a child theme to override it. Since the parent theme isn’t using this construct, the proposed solution from ryanajarret seems to me as a nice hack to unqueue the loading of the fonts without having to change the parent theme.

In reply to: [Redirect to Homepage] [Plugin: Redirect to Homepage] Multisite?Yes it will work with Multisite. As I wrote in the description of the plugin:
“The plugin has no settings and should work perfectly fine with Multisite installations (the plugin will use the blog url and not the main site url).”
Jason,
Could you describe exactly what you are doing (similar to my first post) and which browser you are using? This makes it possible to reproduce the issue so it can be fixed. Thanks!
