I’m getting the same fatal error crash when I try to automatically upgrade.

I tried bassmadrigal’s “fix” and it didn’t work.

Thanks Bobcat that looks to be exactly what I need and yes Ivovic I did raise it with my hosts and no I don’t want to change hosts.

Yes it is restrictive but it doesn’t answer my question…

Not one spam registration since I installed the plugin above a few days ago! I’m happy!

I found a plugin that puts a Captcha up on the registration form it’s called CapCC and you can find it here https://fuctweb.com/2007/06/15/capcc/ seems to work well.

Have been tweaking things a bit – I’d love some feedback/criticism/suggestions.

OK – I have isolated the problem to be a Zonealarm configuration problem. When I shut down Zonealarm everything is fine.

When I work out the Zonealarm configuration required I will post the fix.

Looks like a very neat solution.

How hard would it be to integrate a PayPal cart with it as well to sell photos?

I’m not sure what you mean by using the 192.168.x.y number for the local hosting.

I have tried removing the mysql database and removing wordpress from the htdocs directory in the XAMPP folder and then trying to reinstall from scratch. The same thing keeps happening.

Yes the password was changed but no joy about being able to login to the admin section. It just keeps asking me to login over and over.
