Thanks for the heads up for my brain.
Ok, Ive made progress, found out the css file I need to tinker with is the NextGen css file here
wp-content -> ngg_styles -> nggallery.css
This overides the style used by default by NGG plugin and in turn WPSPSC plugin. Just trying to figure out if I can manipulate the columns or other parameters through this file. If I reach another personal milestone I will report.
Will investigate you plugin suggestion above. Thanks a million for all the guidance. Question resolved ??
Thanks for taking the time to explain this. Im getting there but there is an important part of the equation my brain is not registering, hence Im not really getting it.
My brain, or whats left of it after work today, doesnt understand where I apply these changes. Is it in my themes css file? is it somewhere else? Sure I can apply it in firebug and can see the changes but they dont stick.
I dont understand where. The what i am registering but my brain, or whats left of it after a hard days work, just doesn’t register….
IN summary, which css file do i manipulate? where is it located?
Thanks again for your effort
Excuse the brevity. Basically I want to adjust the number of columns, the border colour, hover colour, thumbnail size and others but thats later. Is there a setting to adjust all images? columns? thumbnail size?
Lets say I want to manipulate the first image top left. Which css file do I work on? Or is there another method Im not aware of (keep in mind I have very little experience so maybe thats why Im baffled)
“Most of the class is for the ngg plugin” -> does this mean there is no css file for the WPSPSC where this is dictated? Only in the NGG plugin? SO im just confused why when I change setting in NGG it doesnt change anything…confused
Hi,
Thanks for trying to help. I can find the code needed for change within firebug but I don’t know where the css files reside in my files nor how to make it permanent. My site is
https://www.videogamesjapan.comI managed to change things within the CSS of ngg gallery to get things working with the border color change. Yet to figure out the column number nor border width but I’ll keep hacking away at it.
From this though, it seems that the simple cart uses the default settings in ngg gallery, not the configured settings.
Hi,
Thanks for trying to help.
I’ve figured out my duplicate gallery issue. Basically, I was adding the nextgen gallery using the ATTACH NEXTGEN GALLERY TO POST button in view mode of the page I was editing. In addition I was then adding the shortcode for WP Simple payapl shopping cart. Each one adds its own gallery. I had an aha moment at 4am and jumped on the comp. and pressed the text button to see all the codes on the page and realised there were two for the gallery.
Hope this helps someone.
My next step is to manipulate the border on the WPSPSC plugin. Doesnt go well with my site. Great plugin has helped my colleague and I heaps. Once we bring in some revenue we hope to purchase the e-store plugin.
Good luck to all
Im having the same issue. Just purchased the Pro version thinking it will fix things. Requesting assistance. Been racking my brains. Do i need to apply something to the editor of the page?
My site (albeit a bit slow) – please see the Plus Thumbs link in the side column
