Video Background will automatically make the background fixed if the container is “body”. This is because if it wasn’t the video will be highly distorted due to the width of the page.

To make the background scroll, please use a different container!

For the Video Background on the https://photo.eamel.net/ webpage. Please try setting your container element to “#masthead img” and see if that does the trick! I believe the .gif image was overlaying the video background, causing it not to display correctly.

Like dennis100 added, most mobile browsers do not allow video backgrounds. As a result of this, the fallback image field is provided. Please be sure to upload a fallback image for display on tablets and mobile devices ??

This is not currently a feature within Video Background. However, what I would do is edit your video using a video editing software and place your fallback image as the last frame of the video. Naturally, if the video is not looped, it will end on the last frame, giving you the desired effect of ending the video with the fallback image.

It appears the video plays just fine on Chrome for Mac for me (using El Capitan 10.11.6 and chrome 52.0.2743.116).

Hi mikisi,

the .header class is just an example of what you could use. The chances are very low that all websites will have this class. For example if you wanted it to work on Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Sixteen, etc. WordPress likes to use an id #masthead. Again, these are just examples, your specific theme will have something different.

In your theme’s specific case, it looks like you are going to want to use #intro for the container ??
