It isn’t submitted at all. It just comes back with an empty page and the message, “Done.” I guess that means it’s WordPress, probably?

Personally I’m amazed that something like this is available, and I think it’s even free (although I’m sure donations are accepted). I’m looking at how to get a very small, unique tee shirt designer online easy and quick and the fact that this is out there just ROCKS. Thanks to the creators.

Donncha, this might not be much help but I never saw the problem myself until Google misindexed the home page and others complained. All my browsers that had a site cookie set behaved fine, it was only total strangers (aka virtually everyone else) that saw the bad home page.

Hi Donncha, I downgraded to 0.7.1. I don’t know if that’s the last version that avoids the home page problem, but someone said it worked so I used it, and it’s been working for me too.

I’m just tagging onto this because I want to know when it’s safe to upgrade SC. My old version is a bit threadbare but fortunately, it doesn’t serve up the wrong page as the home page. I see a link from donncha above that might address this but it isn’t working for me.

Not sure if you go this resolved, hope so. I’m not sure if anyone is able to get a blog claimed on technorati at this point. I haven’t had any success, seems like a lot of other people have had trouble too.

I was having a similar problem with a recent version of supercache and a WP version 2.6.1. I had to downgrade for now until this problem gets resolved. Had a random archive page get served up in place of my home page (ONLY for those without a cookie) which caused SEO havoc. EDIT: I forgot to mention that my home page is a static html, unconnected to wordpress.

Exactly what I’m looking for too, hope someone knows of one.

This seems to be a new behavior for SC, someone above suggested REMOVING index.php from the exclusions list. I haven’t tried it but it’s probably worth a shot.

Hi Oxclove, thanks for testing all those options! In my setup this Redirect visibly directs the user to the home.php page which I do not want to do for SEO reasons, but it’s good to know. I guess for now I think I’ll just sit on an old version until this little bug gets solved.

donncha can you please address this? There are a ton of posts about this problem on this board, and the problem of the newest versions of supercache substituting a category page for index.php at random.

Also, would you say that you cannot use supercache if you use a static page as the home page? Also what do you think about Murmatron’s solution?
