In reply to: [Simple Page Ordering] Move under [previous sibling]Hello. I love your plugin and use it on almost every site I build / take over, at least in recent years. Currently at 68 sites. https://app.screencast.com/yudpY8myZDSaA
But I have to admit, this new “move under sibling” and related functions are confusing and muck up an already full quick action menu bar. When they first showed up, I thought it was related to some other plugins, or even core features. I had to dig around a bit to find out where it came from. I then found this post and appreciate that we can unset the function.
I think the plugin should stick with the original mission . . . “Sorting”. I don’t thing child / parent hierarchy fits into this scope. Also, It’s not too hard to adjust hierarchy as it is (via the Quick Edit function in list view). Finally, adjusting hierarchy is a function so rarely used, that it does not need to be in the quick function hover menu, unlike the need to sort posts.
I am painstakingly installing this ‘unset’ function on every site I use SPO as I access them.
At least consider adding it into a settings / options page, with it defaulted to “OFF”
Thanks for listening.

In reply to: [Advanced Queries] Couldn’t get it to work – custom order ignoredCame here to investigate the same thing. It’s not working for me either. I have an ACF number field called “sort_order”, all unique values, etc. But it has no effect on the output.
I’m going back to Dynamic.ooo as this stuff is built in.
And 100% agree that Elementor needs to expand on their loop query functions. Using the default wordpress options is antiquated when dealing with ‘custom posts and custom loops”

In reply to: [Activity Log - Monitor & Record User Changes] PHP Fatal ErrorYes, that fixed it. Thank you.
Thanks. You are correct, I updated to 3.7.9. I was mistaken on the version number. I was looking at “admin column pro” plugin and got the wrong version number.
Either way, this occurred when I updated to 3.7.9 yesterday. It was updated from a few earlier versions since it had been a month or so since I last updated but nonetheless, it happened yesterday. It was an easy fix, but could be tricky for some, which is why I posted as FYI.
Thanks again.
This is great! I saw the updated version appear on some of my sites and see you incorporated the suggestion! I really appreciate it. Thank you!

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] Calendar start week with SundayI came here tonight with the exact same question.
Thanks for responding. I wasn’t looking for anything similar to Mailchimp or Convertkit. We already use Mailchimp for email newsletter / marketing and funnel types of applications. My use of the word “newsletter” was not a good analogy.
We’re already using BNFW for dozens of different notifications and scenarios and it’s worked great of all the different options. We’ve tested and used at least 3 others including FluentCRM, “Mass Email to Users” and “Email Users” plugins. Yours is the best and works well.
I’m just looking for an alternate ‘trigger’ mechanism – a manual one that we can send directly and not rely on any external trigger.
Thanks

In reply to: [Groups] Show in Loop (and Nav) but Block Access to PostThank you for responding so quickly with so much detail. Those are good ideas and I will use them in this next project. Probably use the hide/show content WITHIN the post option.
Javier! Thank you very much for incorporating this. It’s very helpful and helps clarify what does what ??
Thank you! I appreciate the clarification.
I’d like to make a recommendation to adjust the the language of that select box to read:
Do you wish to send a custom email from ACUI with credentials and other data? (Email template found here /tools.php?page=acui&tab=mail-options)
Also, the fact that you have a single select box (true/false) to turn on/off one function in one area, and a dropdown to enable/disable a similar function in a totally different area increases the possibility of confusion.
Or, maybe better – include the WordPress email functions in that same “send mail” area on the main import screen using the simple checkbox approach.
My associate accidentally misunderstood the meaning of “send email” and when importing 500+ users, they all received an ACUI email that wasn’t relevant. She thought it was the wordpress email which we have customized via Better Notifications with different information found in the default ACUI template.
We use the plugin over and over many times on a single website as we import users over time leading up to live events. We find ourselves constantly going back and forth to confirm the different settings.
Thank you for considering.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Never Update Passwords+1 for this. I use your tool all the time on dozens of sites every month (we run live / virtual events) and I always get nervous about this function. I wish it defaulted to “Never Update Passwords” as it’s the safer option for those who run imports multiple times over and over.
Thanks! Just purchased ??
I may have just found the answer with the Conditional Notification add-on. https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/add-ons/conditional-notifications/
Would that be the correct approach?
Thank you! Looking forward to the new settings ??
