@fbauer: the solution offered in the support thread on github works for me.

Cut short: ftp to your site, delete the plugin, login to the backend and reinstall the plugin.

I came to this thread because of a similar error with another plugin. The status “resolved” gave me hope that there would be some information as to the how it got resolved.

PhpMyAdmin : CHECK TABLE gives status OK

Table contains data from the same day, no corresponding times.
It appears that sometimes, for some reason, the table is locked when the plugin attempts to write to it…

No PHP errors.

I′ve been having this issue for a long time, if you search the support forum you′ll see that it is a common – and old – issue. As is “no sources to serve” …

Apparently it is impossible to fix and asking the developer for more info on where, why and how so far has not given me any results.

My advice? Forget about it.

Following your advice, I disabled Retina support and now everything goes well. Uploading 1 image no longer gives a total of 17 files, but “only” 10.

Of course, now I am stuck with the question whether this is a:

WordPress issue;
Server issue;
or
Customizr issue?
