In reply to: All site pages blank – WP 1.5.2 – admin panel OKOK, so I checked, and the root index.php has the “wp-blog-header” line, but the index.php in the themes doesn’t. But at one point I replaced every file with fresh ones from the wordpress tarball (which would have had the correct index.php) and it still wasn’t working at that point.
As well, the index.php would have been correct all along when my site was working, and I did not touch it when I upgraded from 1.5 to 1.5.2…
Anyway, the site works now, but I am not sure what the problem was… I checked the time stamp on the root index.php, and I am pretty sure that the host support staff are the ones who fiddled with index.php in the first place.

In reply to: All site pages blank – WP 1.5.2 – admin panel OKYes, it started working last evening. Webserve.ca support said they put back the “require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’);” at the top of my index.php, and now it works.
I don’t understand this. I thought that line was commented out going from 1.2 to 1.5 (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrade_1.2_to_1.5). Is it still needed, or did Webserve.ca do something else to fix the site, and are not telling me everything they did…
Thanks.

In reply to: All site pages blank – WP 1.5.2 – admin panel OKOne more thing: I just remembered I upgraded from 1.5 to 1.5.2 a few weeks before the problem started, however, the site worked for several days/weeks after the upgrade.

In reply to: All site pages blank – WP 1.5.2 – admin panel OKMy host, webserve.ca, are saying the site is “fixed”, but I still get only blank pages. No more database table errors, however, and I can access the WordPress admin panel directly at https://www.montrealpredators.com/hom/wp-login.php. However, any posting I “View” shows up blank, even though the text appears in the WordPress manage panel.
What else can I check?

In reply to: How does Auto e-mailer work (i.e. registration)Just to clarify:
I am talking about the WordPress e-mailer functions used when a user registers or the “lost password” function, etc…When a user registers on my site, no e-mails are sent by WordPress.
I am using Apache for my web server.
