In reply to: Removing G+ link from website@barnez
Thanks for this, I checked all the .php theme files offered under the theme editor, and it isn’t there. In fact, the header.php file is brief:<?php op_theme_file(‘header’) ?>
hahaa.
I decided to check them all because 1) I’m a noob so waste time, and 2) I wouldn’t think it would be under the header file as the G+ link only appears on the homepage.
But I am very grateful for your suggestion and will try anything else you think I should ??
It’s going to take me a bit more time to work through your suggestions, but I’m grateful, thanks!

In reply to: help request from a noob – removing G+ link OptimizePressnevermind; the first issue is the age of my host’s servers and the ability to host current php. there are a number of issues stemming from this and they are updating them by the end of 2020.
at that time i’ll have to revisit the Google+ link debacle.
thanks though!

In reply to: help request from a noob – removing G+ link OptimizePresshi again to stee or any other willing victim-
as far as i can tell my site is in fact up. i have tried on several different platforms, browsers on each platform, and from different locations.
the page now loads with the message you pasted above, with the same two line citations (316 and 214) and the Google+ link follows it, but then the site loads below that.
any ideas?
with gratitude,

In reply to: help request from a noob – removing G+ link OptimizePressthanks steve.
i cleared my cache and it is still coming up for me, though it presents several errors at the top of the page.
my host has me on a 15 year-old server and will be migrating me to a C panel server in the next few months. until then my ability to update is limited, so i am having a variety of issues (can’t get past PHP 5.3.24).
in case it helps, i’ve posted a screen shot of the link i’m trying to eradicate.
thanks for taking the time to reply.

In reply to: URL extension problemHi acchiappaprezzo-
Thanks so much for your reply – help is ALWAYS appreciated.
Your solution for /about-2 worked great. There was indeed a default About page I had moved to the trash and totally forgotten about.
However the slash trick didn’t work. There is one in there by default, at least in the Edit panel. When I try to change the extension, all that is editable is the home characters in a light yellow box. The https://www.mysite.com/ remains display text and is not editable. Furthermore, once I type in my “home” and hit the OK box, another slash is added to the end of the URL.
Any other ideas would be welcome, thanks!
Matthew
Hi again Frank-
You’re a busy man!!
Those answers were really helpful, thanks. I addressed #1 and will patiently await #2.
I swear I had already tried adding
to the response page discussed in question #3 and that it hadn’t worked, but I tried again and it’s beautiful – thanks so much!!With gratitude and blessings,

In reply to: Wanted: FB-lookalike blog "embed code"Hi-
Thanks, I really appreciate your responding.
I am not a coder by any means, but followed your link and checked each of the 7 sections looking for something that looked like code or an app I could use to achieve this style of preview window and saw nothing that looked relevant – it might be that I just couldn’t recognize it given my technical ignorance… what section should I be checking?
Just to clarify, I’m not after something to use on Facebook, I was just hoping to find a way to replicate their style of page preview on my WordPress blog.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
Matthew

In reply to: Can't find individual page code – NOT theme codeWhen I follow the edit link I get a page with a Quick page/Post Redirect panel, and SEO, Publish, Page Attributes and Featured Image panels. There is nothing that remotely looks like a way to access the code let alone edit it…..

In reply to: Can't find individual page code – NOT theme codeYep, thanks – they keep answering around my question without answering it, frustratingly enough. I think I might have to consider an alternative solution. Thanks for your reply.
