Thanks for following up. I have not had a chance to test the fix you suggested. I use ManageWP to backup and clone sites–which has worked perfectly in the two years I’ve used it. The problem is that I have to disable the Advanced Ads plugin before cloning the site or it crashes the staging site. Disabling the plugin to make a new backup and clone the site takes 20-40 minutes–during which no ads are appearing on the site. It probably isn’t much dollar-wise, but I was hoping to find another way to do this because even if I did it this way, the new site would crash (I’m assuming) as soon as I activated the plugin. I could ask my developer to try renaming the folder but just haven’t gotten around to doing so because then he’s going to ask me a dozen questions. : ) I run TeachThought by myself and am the father of 4 children and so time is extremely scarce. That said, I need a functioning development site so here I am trying to figure it all out.

What about the ‘this plugin requires WC to function’ message? Will the plugin work without installing WC? Can that error message be dismissed?

I hope this has NOT deleted all meta descriptions as I have approaching four thousand posts on the site and that would be a massive loss and very, very concerning for me as a business owner.

I have disabled all plugins and switched to the TwentyTwenty theme and am still having the issue (which I am working with premium support on, for the record; just sharing my experience here in hopes that it may help others).

I do have the Classic Editor but it has not been active for months.

The issue does remain with 12.7.

I am using Elementor but again, it persists even when deactivated.

Does same on this end, only it doesn’t even show 55 words, just the title. Everything is blank after that.

Great question. Would love to hide the numbers. Mine magically reset. Had a post today with over 300 RTs reset to zero. Happens once or twice a week to random posts. And deactivating digg digg breaks the site, so I can’t get rid of it either. Yay.

Yes, I have tried this. No dice.

Problem still present after latest update (which I was hoping would fix it).

Deleting plugin via FTP, re-entering WP, then reinstalling the plugin fixed issue without loss of any data.

Is there anyway I can do so without losing all of my subscribers since my last export 3 weeks ago?

Was trying to figure out how to do the same. How do you turn off a plugin? I can delete or move, but not sure how to simply switch off.
