  • Just posted on another thread, but I went in and disabled all my plugins and I was able to move the widgets around again. Not sure what plugin is causing the problem, but at least it looks like a beginning to the solution.

    Hope that is helpful,

    Kris

Hey y’all, just went in to try and figure this out. Now, first and foremost, I’m not a coder/programmer, so I’m doing what I know how to do without looking at the nuts and bolts.

But, that said, I disabled all my plugins and was then able to move my widgets around in the design interface. Not sure what plugin is interfering, but if I figure that out, I’ll comment here.

    FYI,

Having the same issue, anyone, please help!

I didn’t have problems moving widgets around in the 2.5 iterations, but now that I’ve upgraded to 2.6, I can’t move my widgets around!

    What gives?!

If anyone knows why it’s doing this and/or has a solution, please share.

That’s a great addition. However, I plugged it into the code, uploaded the new file and it didn’t work. I put it in line 213, which was between another command and nothing. Then I took out what command was on line 212 and it still didn’t work.

Think it’s a great idea and would love to integrate it but it’s not working for me, any ideas?

    sayno2odor:

The “loop” is simply code, not a specific file, it is found in the index.php and a couple other files and tell the browser to pull content like posts, etc.

With the wp-notable code, put it in your index.php file somewhere around where it calls for the author name and timestamp, look for “author” or “post-info,” something like that and then you can determine where the social bookmarking links will appear on your blog.

I hope this helps. I too am no coder so have learned step by step. Sorry no one has commented on this, I hope it’s not too late.
