Did you remove all the files noted on page one of this post? You need to get rid of more than just the plugin.

Yes, the host said that one of the other sites on the shared server was using 90% of the MySQL resources on the server, or something like that. So there were very little resources available for the rest of us.

But if the W3TC plugin creates the folder, how do I not have permissions to edit it?

I agree somethings not right, as that’s the only folder/file that W3TC creates that I can’t modify due to permissions.

Not sure how or why it’d have different permissions than everything else.

One other thing that I’ve been noticing, wp-content/w3tc/ has permissions that exceed any that I have via FTP or CPanel.

I don’t know what this means.

This means that I’m unable to delete the folder on the server. I have to contact my hosting provider to remove the folder.

I had an issue that when I deactivated the plugin; it was still working. I then removed the plugin folder and got the admin errors. However, like Fredrick says, remove ALL the W3 Total Cache files and you should be good to go.

Remove:
wp-content/advanced-cache.php
wp-content/db.php
wp-content/w3tc/
wp-content/w3-total-cache-config.php
wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Once those files were deleted, the admin errors went away.

I also dropped the DB table that related to the plugin.

After contacting the host, they confirmed that it was an issue on their end and fixed it. All better now.

I’ve got the same issue and it started with 3.0.1. There is something wrong with the install, I just don’t know what.

It’s taking 60 seconds to load any page public or admin.

– I deactivated all plugins and it didn’t help.
– It’s not a theme issue.
– I deleted all files and re-uploaded.
– I cleared my browser cache.
– I’ve cleared my cookies.
– I’ve run the upgrade script and it says there is nothing to upgrade.
– I force ran the upgrade script and it didn’t help.

I think it’s a database issue and am contacting my host. I don’t think it’s WordPress related anymore.

I’m working on TopRankBlog.com and WPP is integrated into the tabbed widget on the side.

Like I said, I downgraded so my issue has been cleared up.

Other details:
– Even when WPP wasn’t a part of the tabbed widget on the side, it still didn’t work correctly.
– I tried re-setting all the data for WPP.
– I tried de-activating the plugin and re-activating.
– There were no JS errors in Firefox’s error console.

Yes, this is a HUGE problem with the latest version. The widget title doesn’t save, then the code is mis-formatted, and the whole sidebar goes to hell.

Trust me, I’ve spent over an hour trying to find out why and realized that the issue was I upgraded the plugin. Reverted back to 2.0.3 and all was good again.

Yes, it seems that the recent wave of spam comments are getting past Wp-SpamFree.

Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.

Definitely a time out issue for me. I ran the feeds though FeedBurner first, then they imported just fine.

I haven’t figured it out yet. All I can think is that the FeedWordPress plug-in times out before it can get the feed. ??
