  • “If you are using wordpress.com or any of the WordPressMU driven sites, you cannot edit your Themes.”

Not totally accurate. You can edit your theme on Blogsome.

You are allowed remove ads on Blogsome.

I’ll ask the guys to have a look at that template and see if we can fix it. I know it’s not much consolation, but if you do have a number of posts in the template, I think the problems go away.

    ….

Actually I’ve just looked at you’re blog and you resolved it…by removing the ads! No promlemas.

This could be one reason, probably among others, that Blogsome is not included on the hosting page:

If you do decide to go with one of the hosts below and click through from this page, some will donate a portion of your fee backa€??so you can have a great host and support WordPress at the same time.

Fair enough. We can’t donate any fee back if we’re not getting a fee in the first place. It’s understandable that WordPress would try to maximise it’s very limited revenue channels.

There may be other reasons. For example there could be many free wordpress hosts and if start mentioning one, you probably have to mention them all. Why not mention a few good paying ones that you can vouch for?

I also notice that our “strut your stuff” post, announcing the launch of our site, made last November was deleted and topic closed:

Hmmm. I suppose I can understand what’s going on.
