In reply to: Custom Contact Forms – Align form field leftThanks for the response. You are correct – I had the RTL in the wrong place in the child theme. Thanks for the response.

In reply to: Sizing custom background imagesI understand what you are saying about the different screen sizes but is there a “best practices” rule that most designers follow? Is it to always allow padding or white space around the site?
Thanks for your attention to my question, esmi!

In reply to: Blog file structure problemAgain, thank you for your help with this silly error, Pankaj!
I found the answer to rendering shortcodes here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-pagely-multiedit-tab-not-renderign-shortcodes?replies=9
Life if good!
Thanks for the suggestion of the pagely-multiedit. I’ve gotten it to display content where I want it but now would like to use the WP-Tables Reloaded plugin in order to style the text in this area. When I enter the short code in the appropriate editor – just the shortcode displays. What do I need to do in order for the shortcode to display the table content? Remember – I am using a child theme which now contains a style.css sheet and a custom page template file.
Thanks!
I too am having an issue with this plugin. I am using Twenty-Ten theme with a Child Theme directory that only contains a style.css sheet. I cannot figure out which file to place the <?php the_block(‘name’); ?>
I am receiving 4 lines of this error: Warning: fopen(/homepages/15/d297112724/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyten-child/page.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/15/d297112724/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/multiple-content-blocks/multiple_content.php on line 64
Is this an outdated plugin that is not functioning or supported any longer? I haven’t seen any recent replies to people’s questions about it.
My main intent is to create a new full page width content block that is the width of the existing content block along with the width of the sidebar. Maybe I am attempting this the wrong way?
Thanks,

I took a look at the videos but my mysql seems to be a little different than what is shown. (Don’t know how to download the database!)
Esmi – thank you for your diligence in this forum. I hope you are not tired of seeing my name. ??

In reply to: Twenty-Ten Comments on static page but not blog postsI have since been able to remove the comments box from the front page by using the Screen Option panel. The problem that still exists is on the blog page, the “Leave a Comment” link navigates to the front page, it doesn’t open a comments box below the blog post.
