In reply to: Posting is Buggedsounds like some kind of lag on the server. Kind of hard to tell.
What kind of hosting are you using. I know in cPanel you can click in your sites current status. However, other hosts are harder to tell. Some shared clients, if the host loads the server up with quite a few hostees, they may have the problem of load time as some clients depending on how much server resources with downloads (pictures, graphics, music, etc) and their php (or cgi, or other languages), and databases.
I would say mention this with your webhost too… refer to this post too and see what can be done. Might need some optimizing.

Just a thought:Other than that. I would try making a fresh install of WordPress on a test subdomain to see if this issue is still occurring like on your primary blog.

In reply to: My site was HackedNone of you do and it is both funny and irritating at the same time.
If you were concerned to have read my reply- oh no, I am a woman, but I have been webhosting for more than 5 years.
Your site/server had not been targeted personally as a means to get at you. It was someone who decided to hack 5000 websites for their pure enjoyment. It happens. Grow up, start your site over with a fresh and up to date version as even suggested by Matt Mullenweg himself, and make sure your webhost took care of the issue on their end by securing the server.
So sorry to hear about your site being hacked… you are not the only one who has been. Instead, please read the valid suggestions made by myself and the only other logical person who responded jdembowski.
Hey…any mods want to close up the topic before more ridiculous comments are shared?

In reply to: My site was HackedAlright, I am adding my advice in as a small webhost over the past 5 years.
It could be your server, not just your WordPress was hacked in particular. It happens and I have seen it a lot.
As for your WordPress, those plugins you listed are okay. I would say if you are already using the most current version of WordPress, you can harden your security. You can follow the tutorial link below to my tutorial to do that – https://blondish.net/articles/tutorials/how-to-secure-your-wordpress-blog/

In reply to: Posting is BuggedI am sorry and hope this does not come off mean, but this is a bit vague, so I will ask this:
– Is your blog viewable (the front end)… when you tried to post, when you say nothing, does that mean a blank page, or it just stays there on the same page or loads and no new post is produced, not even the confirmation of seeing ‘View post’ link above?
– Did you check the backend of your blog (in your php mysql database- if you have it with your host -I am assuming you have a self-hosted blog), in the database? Did it publish there at all?
I have only seen a few issues with blogs coming up blank. Make sure your host’s PHP is up-to-date with the latest version on your server even if you are a shared client.

In reply to: WordPress Wiki Fatal Error, Whacked PrivilegesHmm… maybe try Role Manager plugin instead of the wiki privileges and see if any errors come up?
What it is saying is that there is a missing function on that line to execute that array function.
Have you gone to the plugin developer for the plugin?

In reply to: Blondish.netsidebar is marigold yellow. You might want to check your screen colors. I am using a LCD CrystalBrite, and even the old library one I go to check my work (b/c they are still dumb and have not upgraded their hardward and software) works.
I was thinking of doing a gray, but I have done that in the past.

In reply to: Simple Twitter pluginMy only suggestion is to visit the plugin developer. Lately a lot of plugin developers have not been feeling appreciated. At least from a developer’s end, I understand and have been talking to quite a few WP plugin developers about it.
Perhaps chip in a donation or just drop a few words to say that you really like the plugin and hope they might update it soon.

In reply to: Using blogtitle() in wp_list_pages as title_liTrust me, widgetizing your templates will save you time in the long run, especially if you decide months down the line to change your layout.

In reply to: Widening Sidebar troublesIt would be better if you put the CSS code in here to share the issue and the link to your site if the theme is already up and tell what width you needed the sidebar to be.
Remember, if you are widening your sidebar, you will have to shorten your main content area (you would not want your site to be too wide or it will not show well in any browser.)
