In reply to: create hyperlinkMy problem is related but a bit different: I can create a hyperlink perfectly fine. However, the hyperlinked text is black, just like the rest of the text in the post. This creates a problem since the reader must hover around the sentence to determine exactly where the hyperlink is. I though the theme creator would have implemented a built-in color changer enabling all URL/hyperlinks to be a different color from surrounding text. Is there a toggle I’m missing??

In reply to: picture attachments not showing in email postsno replies, so I’ll close it as resolved to remove it from the pool. Also, reviewing the post and seeing the slew of typos I made is simply embarrassing. :0)

In reply to: “Leave a Comment” link won’t disappearHi Dralezero: I did all of that from day one. I think it is perhaps a bug. I am using an In-Development theme (Twenty Ten) within a Beta WordPress install, so it is sort of a double whammy. I’ve reported the issue as a bug, and am awaiting a reply.

In reply to: Comment feature bustedJust as a follow up, what if I simply change my entire theme, choosing an established, relatively stable theme from the Themes library? Would the Comments quirk travel with me to the new theme, assuming it is theme, and not wordpress, related. Certainly any theme might come with its own uniqe set of bugs, but I don’t want ghost traces of bugs from the Twenty Ten template carrying over.

In reply to: Comment feature busted@macmanx: that’s what I figured. I’m using a develompment phase template within a beta WordPress. Talk about a double whammy!! When I installed WordPress via hostmonster, the default install was the most recent build, which happens to be Beta.
I thought this was the place to report the bugs. Seems like this is a regular forums board I posted on. Ooops. Thanks for the links and information!!!
@ipstenu, Yes. I am using Twenty Ten.
Off to report these kinks in the apprpriate “bugs” section.
cheers!

In reply to: “Leave a Comment” link won’t disappearI meant to write “blog”.
I’ve read several related topis in the forums, but none of them explain why once comments is disabled, the wording of the link doesn’t change to: “comments closed”.

In reply to: Most Recent Post not showing/ONE post per pageEgads!
I just went to my page and now the Front Page is gone altogether. The message is: Apologies, the page you are looking for cannot be found. Yet the posts are right there in my admin panel. This really is becoming more nightmarish by the minute.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Front page showing ONLY ONE postjust googled my site and now the Front Page dosn’t show up in the search results at all! The ‘Contact’ and ‘About’ subpages are now at the top. The main page used to show as the top result. This is very odd. I do have the most recent, Beta version of WordPress and am wondering if the bugs are theme/version related.

In reply to: Front page showing ONLY ONE postStrangely, I deactivated the Google Adsense plugin and now my Front Page doesn’t show at all! when I go to my page, it directs to the ‘Contact’ page. Egads. Maybe that plugin wasn’t the best choice. This is pretty bad.
