In reply to: Navigation link text overwrite issueFigured it out. Removed the page description, which was the text overwriting the nav.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Installation “replaced” original blogAfter some more exploration I believe I’ve figured it out. The Woocommerce plugin installed a new “Homepage” which is the Storefront theme landing page, and directed to /domain.com/blog/ “replacing” the homepage of the original blog across the entire WordPress installation. I deleted the offending Homepage page and normalcy returned. There is also domain.com/shop/ where Woocommerce installed itself, and that is also now acting correctly.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Installation “replaced” original blogNo, and if that happened it wasn’t my intention. I already had a WordPress blog installed and installed Woocommerce through the admin portal (Add New plugin). What I expected was the Woocommerce installation as a subdirectory or separate directory of the blog. What I got was my existing blog shifted to a subdirectory of Woocommerce. Yes, I don’t understand how that occurred, either.
In my website file manager, there is only one instance of a folder named “blog” which contains the WP files. I can’t find the Woocommerce install and there is no new folder named “bpblog”.

In reply to: wp-includes/formatting.php – where is it to resolve htmlspecialchars() warningLooking at this in more detail, I’m pretty sure this is a theme issue since the warning involves wp-includes/formatting.php, which is part of the installation and not available to edit in the theme editor (I located the file on my own WordPress installation).
I’m working on this issue for a friend who owns this site and I’m certain he has not accessed formatting.php, nor would he know where it is located on the server. I haven’t had a need to access that file on my own blog.
However, this is the free version of the theme. It seems my options for resolving the issue on the developer’s side (in a timely manner) would be to purchase the premium version?
