We have exactly the same problem after the update to WordPress 4.7.3 – the media library is blank. You can cheat it by acting as though you are adding a file then edit from there, but it’s cumbersome. No question it’s a WordPress 4.7.3 bug.

Add us to that list. Identtical problem began happening with us in that same timeframe. Devitor, I did use your script fix and it has given a temporary workaround for now. But agree, hope FB fixes this soon. We embed all of the time from our social pages and others that we work with.
