I’m having same issue. Would like to hide the title arc completely perhaps when viewed on mobile.

I’ll have to check on that one. Pretty as I keep updating immediately when I see updates available to plugins. Especially since I’ve been fighting this stupid VisitorTracker hack for the last two weeks!

Yes, have been using latest version. Log files within plugin aren’t showing changes either.

I appreciate all the back and forth on this discussion, and I DO understand the benefits of posting individual issues in a new thread. Perhaps it comes down to some additional and helpful features to the forums as a whole. As was stated in a previous discussion perhaps a rating system could be added that just allows some to say “me too” to experiencing the same or similar issue. Perhaps when they rate, they are then prompted to start a new thread with the specifics of their own issues. Then, that new thread could also be cross-referenced to other related threads.

I appreciate everyone’s involvement in the forums and the time they contribute. I understand the need and reasons to have guidelines within the forums. It just seemed to me like the initial “help” provided was more of a scolding and handsmack than a desire to truly be helpful and provide assistance.

In my opinion it sounds like people are more interested in following the guidelines and maintaining their system than they are of truly being helpful to individuals that are seeking help.

For example in the original issue presented that spurred this whole debate today, the first response from esmi was:

“@Michi1: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.”

That’s not helpful! Instead, why not take the same amount of time and try to find out if @michi1 is indeed experiencing the same problems with the same version of WordPress and the plugin. Forcing people to also match server configuration is probably unneeded except for more extreme troubleshooting tasks.

Once it was determined that @michi1 was using a different version of WordPress and the plugin, THEN encourage them to post their own thread for all the reasons and benefits that were behind the reasons for the guidelines in the first place.

There seems to be a bug in the guidelines for these forums. Where exactly should I post about that issue? =)
