In reply to: [Suffusion] Include file in template moving sidebar to bottomMy testing platform is “theme test drive” https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/theme-test-drive/
which shows the test theme when logged in as admin. Would you recommend another platform?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Suffusion] Include file in template moving sidebar to bottom@mbrsolution I really appreciate your patience and help here. I had a play with the theme test drive plugin which only makes the test theme available when logged in as admin and I could not see an option to get a shareable link to the test theme, do you know of a way?

In reply to: [Suffusion] Include file in template moving sidebar to bottomThanks mbrsolutions!
As an example https://reducekeystrokes.com/whats-new/ and https://reducekeystrokes.com/mozilla/ (click what’s news) share a what’s new snippet via an include file. This is my old theme which I am migrating from via theme test drive.

In reply to: [Suffusion] Include file in template moving sidebar to bottomThanks mbrsolution! I have looked at the custom template prior to posting but I did not see a way to reshow the same snippets in multiple pages as I have outlined. Do you know a way?

In reply to: [Suffusion] Include file in template moving sidebar to bottomA good point, that’s not clear, thanks. That is one of my own include files I have uploaded to the template directory, which contains a table. It’s not related to any theme.

In reply to: Finding a two column tab friendly themeThanks. My frustrations have ended after the fortuitous discovery when going through theme after theme of Suffusion!!
This theme is an incredible joy to work with!
Suffusion has it’s own area for making custom changes, you can add your own CSS / JavaScript via Suffusion Options -> Backend -> Custom Includes -> Custom Styles. No more hacking the files in the theme directory directly.

In reply to: Klout says I must connect JetPack plugin to WordPressI have been trying to connect Klout to Jetpack v2.2.2. Reading a wordpress.com post on this topic I deactivated Wordfence Security but the browser never returns from the authorisation link still ??
Does anyone know if some other plugin might be affecting things? I have Gantry Template Framework, Google Analytics for WordPress, Page View, Twitter Tools, Theme Test Drive, BackUpWordPress, Social.
Or any other reason?

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] Subscribe2 delete issuesThanks. That thread was a bit confusing but it got me there, I ftped and deleted /wp-content/plugins/subscribe2. I’m not sure if any other cleanup needs to be done.

In reply to: Bad link hits captured by custom 404 pageThanks very much for detailed response! I installed WordFence and it looks very comprehensive and like you say will make sense of it all when I give a chance for more hits to come in.

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpOk, it seems to be sorted! Renaming the theme/ resetting the plugins temporarily allowed em access. Thanks @esmi. Panic over.

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpI just uploaded all files and folders from wordpress-3.5.zip except the wp-content folder. When I try and login again via wp-admin I get the same error – Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_home_path() in wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 128:-)
Do I need to do something else to reset my homepath?

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpYikes, thanks, I will go and read up on doing that so.

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpPreviously I got the error when I logged in via wp-admin and clicked on upgrade. I did not realise that doing this had killed my access.
I have done nothing other than being in a state of shock that wordpress do this and are not bothered if they kill someone’s site.

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpThis has got serious. Now when I try and login to my site via wp-admin as normal I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_home_path() in /home/seangan/public_html/reducekeystrokes/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 128 https://reducekeystrokes.com/wp-admin/
Why has this happened to me?

In reply to: 3.5 upgrade failure in misc.phpI have upgraded plenty of times before my the same process and not played with any core files. How could this have happened?
