Thanks for your question! Right now, the ability to select a subcategory is allowed without selecting a parent category; however, this may be a bug. I have submitted this to our dev team for researching.
If you could let us know what reason you might have for a listing to display in a subcategory instead of its parent category, it might help us better understand your use case and how to address this issue. Thanks for your insight!

Thanks for your question. Although the Elite package does allow you up to 25 site activations, the packages we offer are also based on the features that come with each. We don’t have a package available with just one site with all of the features of the Elite package. I’m sorry we couldn’t help with that this time!

Thanks for your question! You will need the Elite plan to do this, which includes our Restrictions Module to create a setup like this. It will allow you to limit the fields that those who are using the free fee plan can use. However, the character count limits are only applicable to the Title and Description fields.
The only way to achieve something similar using the Lite version is to have a category called “Free” and then use category-specific fields, which might feel a little clunky, but would achieve something similar.

The setting for this is in the URL field settings under Directory > Directory Content >Form Fields. Just edit that field and if it is a URL field, it will have the option in the Field-specific settings: Open link in a new window?

Thank you for your question. Right now, the only way to do something like this is to use our Restrictions Module. It allows you to specify which fields are allowed for only certain fee plans. It’s part of our Elite package.

No, it shouldn’t look like that. Did you remove the code snippet I gave you earlier? That could be causing this. What WordPress theme are you using on the site?

This may be an interaction between your theme and Business Directory Plugin. Let’s try this and see if it helps. Go to Directory > Settings > General > Advanced then turn on this option: Disable Advanced CPT Integration?:
Save your changes and see if that works. You may need to clear your cache if you don’t see a change right away. Try that and let me know if you run into more issues.
