In reply to: [EZP Coming Soon Page] Redirects to SubSite on MultiSite NetworkHi ‘takinglife2themax’ ?? Ah there are a couple things here that am at least somewhat ignorant of although I’d like to learn about – multisite and this membership plugin. Unfortunately the membership plugin looks like it’s pay only so I don’t have access to it directly so it’s hard for me to determine exactly where the conflict is between the two plugins.
Would you be willing to let me look around your system and/or be my remote eyes and ears capturing logs or sending me code from that other plugin?
Could you email me directly with any details you have and if you are interested in allowing me to dig in a bit? Thanks
My email is [email protected]

In reply to: [EZP Coming Soon Page] 404 pageHi Simon, unless I’m misunderstanding, I don’t think the Coming Soon plugin will work for what you are looking for as presently designed.
That being said, I think this plugin may do what you need. Basically, you create a page within WordPress and then route all 404’s to it. You could have a contact form on that page or something else.

In reply to: [EZP Coming Soon Page] 404 pageHi Simon, at the moment the Coming Soon page completely takes over the WordPress rendering system – any requests coming into your site when Coming Soon is on will get routed back to the Coming Soon page, independent of the URL requested.
Right now when your WordPress site is not in Coming Soon mode it won’t utilize the plugin at all. It’s possible I could incorporate that feature in the future, but I’m not sure how common a scenario – another plugin that specializes in 404 behavior of a live WordPress site may be more appropriate for that type of thing.
Does that answer your question properly or are you actually seeing a 404 when Coming Soon mode is on?

In reply to: [EZP Maintenance Mode] BACKWARDS!Hi DCRogers,
Every once in a while I’ve seen another plugin interact with maintenance mode in such a way as to disallow admin access as you’ve described.
The most surefire way to resolve the situation is to delete Easy Pie Maintenance Mode by doing the following:
* Go into your web host file manager
* Then go into the wp-content directory
* Then within there the plugins directory
* Then highlight and delete the easy-pie-maintenance-mode directory.I’d recommend after doing this that you look check out your other plugins to see what other plugin may be interacting in such a way – these are usually plugins involved in redirecting URLs. The reason that this is important is that other maintenance mode plugins may exhibit the same problems even if you decide against re-installing Easy Pie Maintenance Mode.

In reply to: [EZP Maintenance Mode] Backdoor access for clientYou can give then a non-admin login. They could see the site and have permission to do next-to nothing on the backend.
I’ve gotten a few requests to give people access to the full site by ip but that hasn’t been implemented yet.

In reply to: [EZP Maintenance Mode] The service is unavailable.Hi Kathleen, I have the plugin always display that message regardless of the presence of a caching plugin (Rather than develop the logic to detect a bunch of different plugins I decided to go with the generic warning)
Hmm..At this point I can’t explain why you are getting that message. If you want, I can login to your system and look around myself. This requires that you give me an account with credentials. However, I fully understand if you would rather I not get on the system.
