Hello,
The rel=canonical is set on placeholder images since they are crawled by the crawlers. It should not be required to have rel=canonical on the final images as those are only used by the users.
However I will open a ticket with regards to this so we can investigate and maybe change this in a future update as I don’t see any downside to also serving this on the regular images.
Thank you!
Hello,
We use the Rest API to update the Dashboard stats and sync options.
You might be able to disable them and the serving of images once configured should still work, but I you will have to enable the REST API for every change you would want to make.I would not recommend this, but if you require this you can try it out.
Let me know if this answers your question.
Thank you!Hello,
I will open a ticket so that we can try to find a better way to tackle this for the future, at the moment the approach we use handles most of the cases our focus being to replace all URLs.
But we can try to add some compatibility to match with @rockfire workflow.
Thank you for bringing this to our attencion.
Hello,
Yes you can disable that as Optimole will automatically serve webp where supported.
Overlapping settings will not bring any additional benefits.Let us know how it goes and if you have questions or require any help you can contact us directly at https://optimole.com/#contact
Thank you!
Hello,
By default, Optimole serves images in WebP format for every visitor that supports this format. You don’t need to do anything to activate this, all is done by our service automatically when someone who is using a WebP compatible browser is checking your site.
You can read more about this on our docs here: https://docs.optimole.com/article/1068-how-optimole-can-serve-webp-images
Let us know if you have more questions or require more help.
Thank you!Hello,
It looks like the domain is not whitelisted and it redirects back to the original image.
You can make sure the domain is whitelisted inside https://dashboard.optimole.com
And then “Refresh Stats” inside the Optimole plugin.

Hello,
I don’t understand the question, can you provide us with an example URL?
If you need to exclude URLs from processing you can use the Exclusion filters from Optimole. Can you provide us with more details so I can better understand what you are trying to achive?

Hello,
This seems like the WordPress REST API endpoints are unresponsive.
Can you try to save the Settings > Permalinks so that the .htaccess is regenerated.Or check that you don’t have any security plugins that might be blocking access to your API, also make sure there are no rules for redirects.
If this does not work you can contact us directly via https://optimole.com/#contact and we can send you our support plugin so we can investigate and help you solve this.
Let us know, thank you!

Can you contact us directly via https://optimole.com/#contact so we can help you solve this issue?
We are sorry for the late reply, this ticket was not reported on our internal system.
Let us know, thank you!
Hello,
The setting from Optimole refers to resizing very large images to a more manageable size for subsequent optimisations, you should leave that option as the default 2000×1500.
I think the issue might be something else, do you have a link that we can check so we can see the problem?
Also can you check this document? https://docs.optimole.com/article/1086-why-optimole-does-not-optimize-all-the-images-from-my-site
