In reply to: WordPress with Static HTML Squeeze PageThanks – I checked it out but that will still make it look like the WP theme. The html page that I want as my home/squeeze page is totally different from the blog theme… and intentionally so.
Appreciate the suggestion.

In reply to: WordPress with Static HTML Squeeze PageThanks… I’ll take a closer look but I didn’t think the static homepage would let me use a completely different page as one of my purchased graphic templates would be.
I appreciate your input.

In reply to: WordPress with Static HTML Squeeze PageBecause I have some very nice templates for squeeze pages that I would like to use and don’t want the other blog-type info on the squeeze page.

In reply to: How do I remove this border? Thanks… that was the graphic that stumped me.
I was looking for a 10px graphic as that was the size of the border I wanted to remove. Since the above graphic was 920px I didn’t check it out (about the only one I didn’t look at).
I learned something here… check out all graphics as this one was 920 wide but had the 10px borders on each end of it.
Now I know.
Thanks again.

In reply to: New theme causing fatal errorsThat’s the main the problem.
Once I upload/install all the files, I can’t get to wp-admin to activate plugins or do anything else.

In reply to: Sidebar ConfusionThanks Ming. I got it, finally. I actually had to put the info after the “>” which followed the “}”.
I appreciate your help… don’t know how long it would have taken without it.

In reply to: Sidebar ConfusionThanks for a great explanation. I’ll keep playing with it… I’m not doing something right. When I move the link after the last } I get a “Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘<‘ ” error code. And nothing is showing up in the sidebar.

In reply to: Sidebar ConfusionI’m sorry, I should have included the link. I didn’t intentionally do anything like that. Here’s the link

In reply to: Deleting Meta LinksThanks, Lorelle. Your info helped me learn more about this stuff. Also, I was trying to make changes within WP. Once I figured out to download (your upload comment turned the light bulb on) sidebar, modify it in Dreamweaver, and upload the change file, it worked. Appreciate your help. This is really nice blog software and helpful people as I had heard.

In reply to: Lost the second columnLosing the posts was my fault. I should have known that would happen (I removed and reinstalled the entire WP app) – just in too much of a hurry to get it right and didn’t think about losing the posts. I can redo them.
I’ll check into Codex and look at features also. Thanks.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Lost the second columnThanks. I did what you suggested and uploaded a whole new WP application. I get the default “Hello World” post but it is just one column. Is this right? Everything else I’ve seen has two columns on all pages.
Plus, I wasn’t thinking and actually lost my two posts from the previous installation as I couldn’t just overwrite the app.
So, shouldn’t I be seeing the two columns after the re-install?
