However, this error will not occur if you use Gutenberg blocks to insert the TOC on every page instead of auto-inserting the TOC.

There may be a conflict with your other plugins or theme. Hello,
We are glad you are using our plugin. Unfortunately, if you are using auto insert, you cannot change the position of your table of contents. But Using Gutenberg blocks or shortcodes, you can insert the table of contents anywhere. Just turn off the auto insert option and use Gutenberg blocks to manually insert a table of contents on every post.
