In reply to: [UserPress] DESTROYS WHOLE SITE!UserPress doesn’t replace your theme. It simply activates the bundled theme. If you want to restore your old theme all you have to do is re-activate it. Nothing is deleted.

In reply to: 3.8 admin panel design is very badFor whatever it’s worth, I think the new look is very slick and modern. And I don’t really understand the text size issues everyone is creaming about.
Perhaps disgruntled users could share screenshots (via IMGUR since this forum doesn’t seem to allow attachments) from their computers…just to make sure there aren’t any radical rendering differences between browsers.
Nobody has any idea how to fix this?
GabberMan can you elaborate? What are the modifications I need to make?
+1 (FeedWordPress has this functionality, but it doesn’t play well with YouTube, unlike WPeMatico).
I came to forum to ask the same thing.

In reply to: An Open Letter To WordPress“No plugin or theme, not even the commercial ones, get to have their link on the front of user sites, if they want to be hosted in the WP Repository.”
Since when? An hour ago? Because that’s when I posted this thread. We were just talking about the kinds of links that are allowed in a footer and now you’re saying “no links” of any kind are allowed at all???
And what do you mean by “optional footers.” Credit links are generally included by default and webmasters have the “option” to remove them.

In reply to: An Open Letter To WordPressI did take it up with them and they didn’t care. Now I want to have a discussion about it on the community “discussion” board.
P.S. Just because something is a rule doesn’t mean it’s fair. I’m not throwing a fit about it, I’m simply trying to open a dialogue.

In reply to: [Easing Slider] Easing Slider all of a sudden not workingI forgot all about this post.
Yes. I sorted out the issue. It turned out to be a conflict with another plugin that inserts its own jQuery into the header. Your plugin works fine, so thanks for the good work. And thanks for the reply.

In reply to: Camera blog with jQuery (Grid) Masonry layoutI updated the design. It no longer uses Masonry because it was causing strange conflicts with other plugins and also because I think a more traditional layout might be more suitable for the content on my site.

In reply to: [Theme: Autofocus] Impossible to move away from Autofocus?Maybe you could look at the AutoFocus template files and try to figure out how it inserts images. Then you can simply copy the code into the template you wish to use.

In reply to: [Wiki] [Plugin: Wiki] Possible security issue? My bad. I just realized that WordPress restricts HTML tags on lower level users.

In reply to: [Wiki] [Plugin: Wiki] Permalinks are killedI had the same problem. By default, the plugin creates a prefix for wiki pages (domain.com/wiki/titleofwikipage). In my case, I had deleted the default prefix for my Wiki, leaving it empty, so that my URLs would look like domain.com/titleofwikipage …which resulted in permalink errors for regular blog posts. Restoring the prefix corrected the issue.
