Please ensure you’re using Product Advertising API 5.0 this is going to be a requirement after Oct 2019.

Note: You need to have some sales through Amazon’s affiliate program in order to use the Product Advertising API. If you don’t have sales then it’s likely that you aren’t able to make any (or many) requests through the Product Advertising API.

Additionally, you need to have an Amazon Associates tracking ID in your settings as well to perform searches.

Amazon doesn’t surface the best error messages for keys and you can use this to find an error message that may more specifically point to what the issue is:

Click the “SearchItems” link on the left hand sidebar and then enter your access key, secret access key and amazon associates tracking ID:

This is Chris Guthrie, I’m one of the co-founders of EasyAzon. This is definitely not the level of support we want to provide.

I know this thread was shared a few months ago but I’d still like to ensure we don’t have this occur again in the future.

If you want to send me a direct email I’ll look into your specific request to see where we failed. chris at thgwebmedia.com is my personal email address.

The core plugin was temporarily closed on www.ads-software.com in error and resolved shortly thereafter.

Basically, one of our contributor profiles for the plugin had an outdated email address so www.ads-software.com wasn’t able to reach the email address tied to that profile. When we fixed the email address we got in contact with the WP plugin team and the plugin was restored several hours later.

We have over 10,000+ installs of EasyAzon and have been offering this plugin for years. This was just a simple error on our end which we rectified by updating an outdated email address on one of our user profiles.

Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere.

The plugin should work just fine, if you want to clarify what aspect is not working we can try to investigate further but there is nothing that isn’t working at this time.

Note: You do need your Amazon product advertising API keys in order for this plugin to work though

We’ve added support for Gutenberg in a recent update. We can look at adding support for the others in the future though.

Note: It’s typically not feasible for any plugin developer to support every single plugin out there. We do our best to provide support for as many as possible though.

Have you followed up with Amazon? This seems like an issue with your Amazon credentials and not with the EasyAzon plugin.

Another question, do you have existing sales from Amazon’s affiliate program? You need a minimum number of referred sales in order to set up credentials that will connect to the product advertising API.

You shouldn’t need to add a credit card, but you may want to do it anyway in case Amazon has made some changes to how they activate access keys.

Note: You won’t actually be billed for using the Product Advertising API though.

Marking this resolved for now as we’re aware of the requests for Gutenberg support.

We will include in official plugin notes when Gutenberg support is released.

We are planning to offer Gutenberg support in the future.

Worst case scenario you can use the classic editor until we offer full support in the future. We don’t have an ETA at this time, but it is something we are planning to do.

Have you contacted our support team yet so that we can assist? If there is an issue with the paid plugin not working then of course we’re going to work to see what we can do to fix that. Please provide the details of your install in the support ticket (e.g. WP version, EasyAzon Core version, EasyAzon Pro version etc)

If you haven’t already, please contact our support so that we can assist.

To clarify the plugin doesn’t lack any functionality that is advertised on our website, but yes there may be a feature that you’d like to see that we don’t have. Share that with our support team so that we can look at implementing sometime in the future.
