In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Gallery to fill full width?Hi Murklan,
Sorry for the lateness of my reply. Another option may be to set negative left and right margins on the
CM_AREA
object equal to 50% of your horizontal spacing, e.g.margin-left: -29px; margin-right: -29px;
If you want the pictures to scale down with the screen size – you can set the images to a percentage size in the shortcode – which will force a number of columns. This will also greatly improve efficiency and remove the need for the inefficient
fit_width='true'
parameter.You could also specify
img.masonry_brick_img
min-width
in CSS to limit the scaling on smaller screens or make each image100%
using a CSS @media query for smaller screens.Just an idea – I hope it helps.

In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Gallery to fill full width?I’m not too sure that would work – as these change dynamically, and a change in margin or padding would once again change the layout causing the classes to change and so on.
Does fit_width=’true’ help?
What’s your shortcode and can you send me a link to a demo page?
Cheers

In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Show post title, excerpt & metaHey,
I put through another beta at the time of the last message that should enqueue jquery when its installed.
I only had a few minutes to set it up, but it should do the job.
If not, I’ll set up a testing sight without jquery on it and see what needs to be done.
Also, cheers for getting back to me. It helps me make the plugin better.
I suppose a new thread may be in order for that. Cheers

In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Show post title, excerpt & metaThanks again Murklan.
I completely missed that issue (hence the plugin still being unreleased), but your site doesn’t use jquery at all – its very tidy. Every site the plugin has been tested on already has jquery ready.
JQuery is included in WordPress but its unavailable until its enqueued – an action that only needs to be done once.
I’m a bit short on time right now and for the next couple of days, but I believe this oversight has been corrected in the newest pre-release.
Thank you for alerting me,
Cheers

In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Show post title, excerpt & metaHey Murklan,
Thanks for giving it a go. Its running on a few sites already, but different sites may have different setups. I’ll see if I can find whats wrong and see about fixing it shortly.
Are you running the latest version of WordPress?

In reply to: [Cactus Masonry Classic] Working with post image and NOT featured imageHey,
The plugin was designed for featured images, as in most situations I’ve encountered it’s far easier and less invasive to set a featured image than an image on the post. Unfortunately, by the sounds of it, that does not apply to your site.
Is there a workaround? – not really to be honest. That would require a significant change to the plugin. If your proficient with PHP you could modify the render_post() function in the plugin’s main PHP file to make the variable $thumbnail = what your after, rather than the actual thumbnail. But as the plugin is no longer dealing with thumbnails, a large number of the parameters and features are no longer valid and may have to be turned off.
But if you do that, may I suggest using the code of the next update pre-release that is available on the Plugin’s Download page as the code there has been far improved and will be cleaner, less buggy, faster, and much easier to work with.
Also, make sure that the plugin doesn’t get updated after this, or you’ll lose your changes. Perhaps changing the header information will disconnect it from future versions in the repository.
Cheers
