In reply to: permalinks not working.sorted! It was all caused by the ‘nrelate’ plugin not being multi-site compatible, yet being multi-site enabled! Once I removed the multi-site enabling, and just have it single-site enabled, all the permalinks worked nicely.

In reply to: permalinks not working.Just tried =all= permalink permutations, but with all plugins activated, and every single one is broken and does not work.
But I did google “Disk Enchanced mode” and it relates to the w3-cache that I use, which will not work with the default permalinks, so am now using ‘post name’, not that they work anyway!

In reply to: permalinks not working. Thanks for this obi, I’ve tried as you suggested and I still get “Error code 500” but thats only with ‘qupzilla’. With chromium and google-chrome, I just get a blank page! And this is with flushing all caches, deactivating all plugins and then trying permalinks.
However, to get to my archives page, it is <hp://www.sharons.org.uk/?page_id=1081> whereas all permalinks are like <hp://www.sharons.org.uk/?p=1528> but I can’t see how to get the first permalink reference there.
But on the ‘network admin’ site, both of my sites are part of a multi-site setup, I have this message appear on the plugin page after they are network activated, “Disk Enchanced mode can’t work with “Default” permalinks structure”. But I don’t have a clue what its about, or what a ‘disk enchanced mode’ means!

In reply to: reset to facebook default?Sorted and Solved!
– Log out of both sites
– Disconnect the jetpack setup for both sites in network admin.
– Reconnect jetpack, for one site at a time.
– Log on to foobar, and go to ‘Sharing settings’, connect to Facebook.
– Reconnect jetpack, for other site.
– Log on to foobarplus, go to ‘Sharing Settings’, connect to Facebook
– Make sure that both sites connect to the same Facebook accountAnd it works!

In reply to: customized 404 page for a one site of a multisite?I resolved this by using another theme, which seemed to be the simplest way of doing it.

In reply to: Mass-replace of stored urlThanks, thats sorted it out and the site is now up and running nicely.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Mass-replace of stored urlIts part of a multi-site, and the wordpress and site addresses are correct and hyperlinks go to the right places. But I have pages which contain links to the posts, and its those pages that have not updated and I need to correct all of the hyperlinks to drop the “test.foobar” to just show “www.foobar” on.

In reply to: Misconfigured multisite, how to correct it?Sorry, I’m unable to do that as my network-admin has done some jiggery-pokery with DNS records, and the ‘Add New Site’ now shows ‘Site address [blank box for input] sharons.org.uk’. This is totally different from what it was showing before, but I’m happy with that.
Thanks

In reply to: WordPress multisite or use a plugin?I just thought it would be easier to manage if I could multi-site it, after all, both domains are on the same server, sitting next to each other. One is already a wordpress site, running quite well, the second is pure-html and has become monolithic too maintain, so I want to rebuild it with wordpress.

In reply to: Forgotten images, several months after postingI’ve managed to sort out the problem, so here for the benefit of the archives is my solution.
For every image in the whole blog, they need to be replaced with one that has been uploaded with ‘Media -> add new’ and then inserted into the blog posting itself using ‘Add media’. This then shows each image, which may need resizing, and should hopefully sort out the problem long-term.

In reply to: Widget on block of code to copy the code to your clipboardI’m already using ‘Syntax Highlighter for WordPress’ which is very good, but I’m after something that you click and it copies the code to the clipboard, like you see on github sites in the top right of their codebox.
