Hey @haymondoooo,
No problem. I still think this is something to do with your server environment. Most of my users will be on BP 11 now, so I would expect a huge rush of support tickets from our premium version. As you are on a staging site, can you please do the following:
Switch to a default theme (such as twenty-twenty-two). Then, deactivate all plugins, and then activate BuddyPress 11, and finally BSR. This will get us to a point where it will be as if we have just installed the site. Let me know what happens.
I have also just installed BSR and BuddyPress on a standard shared hosting account using the same theme and plugin stack as above, and outside of our test servers, to make absolutely certain there are no compatibility issues with BP 11. All activated without error.
Thank you!

Hey @haymondoooo,
Thanks for the information. I certainly think that your web host could increase these limits. I’m not a server expert, but I can see you have a WP_MEMORY_LIMIT defined of 40M which seems extremely low to me. I would expect this to normally be at least 256M, but as BuddyPress is such a resource intensive tool, likely much higher.
This is an article from the web that may assist, or for you to pass to your webhost – https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/.
Hey @haymondoooo and @budy74,
Thanks for the extra information. Can I ask you to go into tools > health check > info, and post a copy of the information given here. Alternatively, you could use something like pastebin.com?or?gist.github.com if you don’t want to post the information on these forums. This will mean I can replicate your environment and try and find the bug.
If you can, please enable debug mode – enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file and see if you get any further error reports.
Can you also try rolling back to BuddyPress 10, and see if the problem goes away?
Essentially, due to the nature of free software, I need as much help as I can from you amazing users and we will try and work together to resolve this as quickly as possible. So anything you can think of that might help will be much appreciated.
Thanks again!
Ben Roberts
Hey @haymondoooo,
Thanks for your question. We test on BuddyPress 11 and aren’t seeing any particular spikes in performance right now. We’ve also not had any reports from other users about memory limits being exhausted.
If you get in touch with your webhost, they may be able to use logs their end to determine what the cause of your issue is. If they can, please reply, and we can see if there is anything we can do to assist.
Waiting to hear back from you,
Ben Roberts

In reply to: [Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress] Version 3.5.0 causing issuesThank you very much – you’ve covered all the bases there. One more thing. Could you use Google/Safari/Firefox Developer tools in your browser, and tell me if you get any errors in the console log when you hit suspend?

In reply to: [Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress] Doesnt work so well with BuddybossHey @gorbondanko,
Thanks for your review. I’m, really sorry – I’ve only just seen it!
If you get errors in any WordPress plugin or theme, please feel free to speak to the developers. It may be a conflict not caused by that plugin or theme, and they will work with you to fix it. We love problem solving, but if you don’t tell us, we can’t help!
I understand 4 months has passed, but if you do want to give our plugin another shot, we would love to help you get it configured for your site.

In reply to: [Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress] Issues with Friends requestsHi @werny,
Once you deactivate Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress, the blocks will be lifted and the friend status of your users will be at the point it was immediately before the deactivation.
It is therefore unlikely that the deactivated plugin could still leave issues, and may be caused by BuddyPress core, or because of another tool being used, such as BuddyBoss Moderation Tools, or another moderation plugin.
Kindest regards,
Ben

As WordPress forum rules mean we are not allowed to support premium products here, would you be able to send us a support ticket using the usual methods?
Many thanks,

Hey @cebuss,
Sorry for the delayed reply, and thank you for the feedback.
We’ll keep that requested feature ‘on ice’ for the moment, not least because michaelabf’s excellent code snippet is a quick and simple way of handling it for anyone that needs it.
Have a great week!

In reply to: [Ultimeter] Can we pull in the current donation total with PHP?Hey Jonasweb,
We’ve answered you via our support system, but for anyone else wondering, I thought it would help to respond here too.
Our professional edition comes with hooks that will connect Ultimeter to 3rd-party apps or other data sources.
@michaelabf!
If you are creating that, I would definitely say you are a coder!
That should work perfectly well.
Have a great weekend!
Hey @michaelabf,
That sounds like a great feature request right there!
My only concern is that adding the extra step of having to cancel a friendship before blocking might be inappropriate when a user needs to quickly block someone due to abuse etc. At the moment, one click of the block button and the user is immediately safe.
I invite other users to comment below, and if the idea gains traction, I will certainly consider including it in a future release.
Hey @michaelabf,
This will only apply to new blocks, as the filter hooks into the process of blocking.
