Hey there,
The best solution for your problem would be to try to rename the file. If you do this, you will see when the site crashed. So if you edit the file under application folder and it dosn’t crash. Then you can safely delete that file.
The first time I made my site, I had some kind of the same problem. But I managed to find the right file, when I did that.
I can highly recommend that you look into valet, which is something much much smarter than xamp.
