Hi Chetna,
Sorry, I’m still getting a white screen of death when I activate this latest version of the plugin.
Unfortunately, my site is currently limited to using Woocommerce 2 (v2.6.4). I’m wondering if this could be part of the problem.
Have you tried testing it with Woocommerce 2?
Exactly the same problem here.
5.1.0 works fine, but the latest update (5.1.1) caused my site to display just a white screen in the front and back end.
I also disabled the plugin via FTP and the site worked straight away. Then tried reinstalling 5.1.1, but it crashed the site again. In the meantime I’m going to revert back to 5.1.0.

They’ve been aware of this issue for at least the last six months, as they mentioned it themselves in the middle of December 2016:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/csv-importing-not-importing-event-calendar-google-maps-link-or-google-maps/Massive thanks for the snippet though, as I’ve been utterly desperate while waiting for any kind of solution !!
Hi wfasa,
I have the latest version of WordPress (4.7.3) and the latest Wordfence installed (6.3.5), and I’m still getting the following error when I perform a scan:
Error finishing writing value for wfsd_engine (MySQLi error: [1105] Parameter of prepared statement which is set through mysql_send_long_data() is longer than ‘max_long_data_size’ bytes)
I’ve just sent you a diagnostic report, as per your instructions above. Hope that’s okay.
Thanks in advance for your help!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Search UK OnlyThanks Geoff,
I was wondering if there might be some way to automatically (and invisibly) add “UK” to every search performed, because currently typing “birmingham
-
uk
” in the search form is the only way to make this particular venue appear within the results?
Might this potentially be possible? And if so, would the javascript of your plugin files have to be edited to do this – or is there be a less ‘invasive’ way of adding this particlar functionality?
Thanks again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Control Product Numbers on Category PagesIn my case I found that the setting ‘Blog Pages Show At Most’ (within wordpress ‘Reading Settings’) only influenced the WooCommerce ‘shop’ page but NOT the category pages. I also tried ‘Poor Guys Swiss Knife’ with exactly the same results.
However, after a week of hunting around I finally found the following shortcode works when added to a category page:
[product_category category=”category-name-here” per_page=”24″]
Hope that helps others with a similar requirement.

In reply to: [Search & Replace] Replacing words containing an apostropheSame problem with the apostophies here I’m afraid. And unfortunately the new version (2.7.0) in the links above doesn’t work for me. I tested both – just to be sure (under both WordPress V4 and the previous version).
Just to clarify how the problem looks at my end; If a search term contains an apostrophe and you carry out a search & replace it tells you that its found and replaced all instances. So initially all looks fine. But actually it either does nothing or adds a backslash in front of the apostophies.
Real shame, as this has been a great plug-in up till now. So I’ll have to find a replacement, but will look out for a fixed version in the future.

In reply to: [Flexible Map] Can't Display Zoom Slider ControlHi Ross,
Thanks very much for letting me know the score about that. Otherwise I probably would’ve wasted loads of time attempting to fix it myself.
Really appreciate your rapid response too. Top work!
Cheers,

In reply to: [Flexible Map] Can't Display Zoom Slider ControlThanks for letting me know, Ross. I hunted around on the internet and was slowly coming to that conclusion.
I know what you mean about the fat finger problem on tiny screens. I personally find that scrolling down a page past a Google map on mobile devices is pretty much impossible unless the drag command is set to ‘off’ (with draggable=”false”).
Does anyone know if there might be some kind of simple CSS workaround to turn the zoom slider on, like the one mentioned here?: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8511436/zoom-control-and-streetview-not-showing-on-my-google-map

In reply to: [Flexible Map] Can't Display Zoom Slider ControlI’ve finally had a chance to try implementing the hidezooming=”false” command on a client’s website (https://www.personalalcohollicence.co.uk/personal-licence-course-isle-of-wight/) but only had partial success with it so far I’m afraid.
For the benefit of others I should mention that in order for the zoom slider to appear on desktop computer browsers I had to include hidezooming=”false” AND zoomstyle=”default” (or “large” also works). Once I’d put both of these in place I thought I’d cracked it, but when the map is viewed on a mobile browser the slider unfortunately doesn’t appear (which is slightly frustrating, as this is my main aim).
Apologies in advance if this is just an anomoly, caused by some sort of conflict with the theme I’ve used, but if someone else has managed to successfully get the zoom slider to appear on a mobile device then I’d be very grateful to hear about it – and possibly find out what they did to get it working.
Thanks all,

In reply to: [GEO my WP] No results?Further to the above info…
I’ve now deleted all of the GEO address entries on each page (using this plugin’s dedicated delete button), and added addresses to 4 new pages – but these changes have failed to alter the problem I was seeing previously.
I’ve also deleted the GEO plugin and reinstalled it, and gone through each of the settings pages associated with this plugin and clicked the save button each time – again, no luck.
I think I’ve just about run out of ideas about what to try next.

In reply to: [WPJaipho Mobile Gallery] Not recognised by my responsive themeThanks for letting me know about that tole.car – nice to know there’s good support for this plugin if I use it in future.
Unfortunately this forum removes the option to edit a post after there’s been a response to it. So here’s the corrected link, for future reference: https://personallicencescourses.co.uk/course-venues-gallery
