In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Multiple Ticket PricesActually, the General Admission Multi-Pricing (GAMP) extension, which is available now, will do this for you – it will allow you to have several prices for the same event. No “seating plans” but for unreserved seating, or a more general event it works fine.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Issues with GAMP and venue areasGood news – it is all working. I updated to the latest plugin but still got the error activating GAMP, so based on your clues above I deleted all the records from wp_qsot_price_structures and wp_qsot_price_structures_prices and all is now working as it should be.
Please note:
1: I backed everything up first and
2: Obviously I wouldn’t recommend deleting records out of the database without a safety net ??Cheers

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Issues with GAMP and venue areasHI @loushou
That sounds very likely to be the issue! I haven’t upgraded to 1.9.5 yet, but will do later in the week once our current event has gone off sale.
Incidentally, I have had nothing by positive comments about the ticket ordering and management process. No more slips of paper, nice formatted lists of attendees – everyone is very happy, so thanks to you guys for the software and your help in getting it going!
Thanks
Simon

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Issues with GAMP and venue areasI am still getting the error when I try and activate GAMP, but as we have an event on sale until next Friday I really don’t want to make any further changes until then.
I will report back when I have had the opportunity to test further.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Issues with GAMP and venue areasThanks Chris, but my question is related to VENUE AREAS not events. There are no videos which assist here. Also, as noted above, I can no longer activate the GAMP plugin. I have installed the 1.90 release and it makes no difference.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] No People, no RolesI found myself getting confused at first as well. It doesn’t help that the reviews are clearly for the paid product, as they refer to functionality that isn’t in the CE (seating plans and so on)
I will say that the CE version is basic but functional (I found a few bugs, but they were quickly dealt with) For my purposes (GA events, no need for seating) it works fine. We do have some additional requirements (Adult/Child pricing for the same event) but they will be addressed by a paid for extension (Ive been quoted $29) which I will be happy to pay for. We don’t need all the Enterprise functions, so the ability to pick the bits we do need, at a price point that is acceptable to a Charity, is ideal.
Other products are available, but I’ve not yet found one that does what this does at a price we can afford – for us selling ticket by eCommerce is a convenience rather than a necessity, so doesn’t warrant huge investment. We can afford $50 for a few useful extensions, but not hundreds.

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] No People, no RolesDon’t get confused between the “Community” and “Enterprise” editions. I think the zendesk pages refer to the Enterprise edition. https://opentickets.com/community-edition/ details the CE, which is this version of the plugin.
Hope that helps

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] ColoursOK, I’ve had time to look at this in a bit more detail – I can now see that you are setting the background color for the order form in event.css. If I take out all references to the background color it will pick up the “correct” colors from the theme.
Obviously the easiest for me would be for the background color references to be removed, so I don’t have to edit the css every time you release an update, but I’m not clever enough to know if that would affect any other users ??
I wanted to feedback that I was able to handle the disabled tickets as follows
And that also deals with my “we want to pre-sell food at events” issues
Brilliant advice, thanks
(Actually, the other tip will come in useful as well!)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] ColoursPlease ignore this for a bit – it may be a theme/WooCommerce issue, and I am seeing strange color combinations elsewhere ??

In reply to: [OpenTickets Community Edition] Scan QR Code errorBrilliant – looks like we now have a complete end-to-end process! Thanks for your help getting all this working.
Now all I need is the ability to sell multiple prices, and to be able to cross-sell food ?? (I know these are work in progress – to be honest I can live without the food, but not being able to do adult/child/infant pricing is a real drag!)
Thanks again
Simon
